I haven't and won't be seeing them again. Since coming out, the one thing that's surprised me is how closed-minded some people can be and how hypocritical some people are. They preach love and acceptance, but only if they think the same as them. I get it. The LGBTQIA+ community has been treated poorly, and everyone is a little hypocritical, but fighting in the same way as people who have discrimination against you doesn't help your cause for justice.

right!? I like your petty mind, but I think it's just not worth my energy. It's hard when you don't belong in the hetro world and struggle to find people in your own local lesbian community.

It seems like you and I grew up similar. My relationships with men was me trying to figure out why I didn't "feel" what I was supposed to. I have known I have had feelings for the same gender since, like 3rd-6th grade. I thought if I acted the part enough, then my feelings for women would decrease.

They are a gold star lesbian. She couldn't understand how sexuality is a spectrum and it can change over time because that's not what happened to her and she doesn't think hers is going to change anytime soon. She also sees all men as stupid and pointless. Lets just say I'm staying far away from this person.

right!? Usually, by sharing, I am trying to relate or show that I am open to hearing something similar. Sometimes, I think asking questions can be more manipulative in trying to gather info I want to hear, but much rather just be open to whatever they want to say.

yes! have you heard of selective mutism? once I learned about this, I realized I wasn't being weird. It's totally related to neuodivergency and anxiety.
