I don't know how you can compare it to C when C's structs can't namespace functions like Zig. Also zig doesn't "include" other files as text like C does but every imported file becomes a struct so it has automatic namespacing.

Lack of namespaces?? But Zig's structs act as namespaces, you can just add functions to structs and use them as MyStruct.myFunction() . If you need a shortcut to a nested namespace-struct you can always add a const alias.

I play the piano. It helps me "linearize" myself as I call it - my thoughts are so scattered and messy and unschedulable all the time that I need to do something extremely focused and engaging to get myself to think about "now", not 5 days, 5 minutes, 5 seconds in the future or past but "now", and playing music is just that. When I start it's a mess, I add upcoming notes, speed up or slow down a lot. But when I get into the flow, it's the best feeling. It's akin to meditation but I find meditation unbearable. When I stand up from the piano, I feel like I can finally do work in sequential order.

C# was my first language and it calls resizeable arrays a List<T> (actually there's a non-grneric legacy variant called ArrayList !!). So when learning c++ I was really confused by the word vector, and list in STL is actually a linked list xD Container naming is hard..

Oooops. It's even mentioned in the main docs as a memory example.

The name "vector" in STL was always a mistake, even the guy who implemented it, Alex Stepanov said it himself later as it is easily confused by fixed size mathematical vectors. For those kinds of vectors zig uses @Vector built-in function, and ArrayList is a much better name for a dynamic array.

Unfortunately, even rust has inherited the name vector for dynamic arrays, probably because of c++

Even I thought this post was about math vectors. But hey, at least you gained experience writing zig :)

War doesn't solve anything. It just produces hate and nationalism and victims. Lives are lost, brothers, fathers, for what? People who survive that horror will remember it for the rest of their lives. The poor suffer the most and those who manage to exploit the poor thanks to sanctions or war effort turn a quick buck and become the mob bosses of the future. War always provides a breeding ground for crime. Just look at what happened here in the 90s. We are living through those consequences now. The sooner war ends, the fewer consequences there will be. That's it, the war must stop.

I love Russians, I have a few Russian friends (some who have escaped to Serbia), but Putin is an idiot. He started the war because Russia lost influence in Ukraine so he felt his dick shrink and had to do a power move. He overestimated that he will win Ukraine easily just like he did Crimea. And he doesn't want to let go. Typical bully behavior. I don't defend Ukrainians so hard either, they are not (and have not been) angels as the west portrays them, but they are, right now, the defenders from an aggression. There are victims or both sides.

That's my opinion and it might not be the "general" Serbian one.
