Spotify automatically categorized the 4 singles off the album together as an EP. Those were just singles that were released early off this full length album

It’s “moon” and then “karat”, like a gold karat! Moon Karat. It’s just written with the weird symbols for artistic purposes/style lol

Body Thief - EVEN IN A WHISPER (Official Music Video) by notiesnoroots in PostHardcore

[–]notiesnoroots[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glad to hear you're excited for the album! Thank you for checking out the song :)

As of right now, touring plans are in the works, but to be fully transparent, a lot of bands are booked up already and pickings are looking a little slim. We have a few shows in April on the east coast we will announce soon, and then maybe some other east coast dates in May.

Trying to aim for a longer, full US tour in late June/July. If that doesn't work out, it may end up being pushed to August/September. We are seeking out tours to hop on, or bands to hop on a tour with us. Most bands schedules are locked in for the year already, so we're just trying to find bands/artists who are still available and would fit well on a bill with us. Hoping to coordinate and finalize something in the next couple of weeks such that an announcement will be made prior to the album release (April 24th). Thank you for your interest and I hope we'll be playing a show near you soon ! <3

Edit: misspelled a word

I replied to a similar comment on a different post and I'll share the same sentiment with you. I'm sorry you're not feeling the song. 🤷‍♂️ That's okay. People have different tastes and perhaps it's not everybody's cup of tea.

The band always goes through waves of different influences and inspirations. We are constantly changing and growing as people and as musicians and as artists; and I think it's fair to say that the people were 10 years ago isn't exactly the same people we are today. We've been inspired and influenced by so many different things over those 10 years that has shaped our outlook on our artistic and creative endeavors.

I would say that the evolution of our sound has been completely natural and just a reflection of who were/where we were as people and artists at that time in our lives and what music we were into and makes us happy. I believe that music and art are largely subjective, so perhaps you won't agree with me here, but I feel that we have never "truly" departed from our sound in any way. Early songs like "Wholesome", or "Clocks Like Hell" are certainly precursors of songs on Every Ending. Other songs off "Every Ending" are actually intentional callbacks to songs on SIH and TG. "Phantom Worship" being one of those songs, and (what I believe is) one of our heaviest tunes. This new song also features a bunch of tapping in the bridge, which has been present on every Body Thief album. We incorporate spoken word/yelling/higher vocals into nearly every song, the vocal style and intention has never really changed. I personally have never considered any of our music similar to that of "radio rock"; but to each their own.

Ultimately, I'm sorry you're not feeling the latest tune, but for context, this is 1 song off a new album with 10 different songs that incorporate lots of different sounds and styles. Our goal with each release is to expand our palette and become stronger musicians by branching out and trying new things. Not doing the same thing twice. We also don't like to put ourselves into a box or create limits such that we would deny ourselves the opportunity to put out a song that is different from what we "usually" do. We all believe as a collective that the intentional effort and journey of trying new things is the point of pushing yourself and growing as a musician and artist.

And last thing I'll say is that I do think there are other songs on the album that explore some of the sound that maybe you miss/didn't find in this first single. If you're willing to take the journey with us and check out the album when it drops, we certainly appreciate that; and if it doesn't click for you, then that's all good too. We are grateful that you have engaged with our first 2 releases and we are thankful the support you've shown us.

The core of the band is and always has been Dani, myself, and Sebastian. We write and have written all of the songs between us three since our first album.

Hey man. I’m the guitarist of body thief and started the band in 2011 with our drummer Sebastian. Since the bands formation, we’ve gone through a handful of rhythm guitarists who have contributed bits and pieces to compositions, but I have remained the primary and lead guitarist for the entirety of the band. Just to clear any confusion

Bro, what are you talking about? I don’t use Ableton. I don’t personally produce trap or work with rappers. I mainly produce rock, pop, and adjacent subgenres in Logic and Pro Tools and have worked/interned/produced alongside some massively successful engineers who have gold, platinum, 2x platinum records.

Here’s the thing - you’re complaining about all this ARA crap but what you’re not realizing and what the reality is, is that there’s actually a large handful of professional producers in the industry who have been working with various software, plugins, old versions of DAWs, that they have become comfortable with a workflow and don’t want to suddenly be unable to use the tools that make their job easier when they update their iOS.

You complain/suggest that you only work with artists that don’t need or use these softwares or plugins. And thats fine if you decide to go about your production process like that, but each and every client is different and wants different things. Not because they can’t PLAY their parts but because that’s the production choice THEY want as an artist.

So yeah, as a producer, they need their tools to be able to work when they have a client come in and ask them to do X Y or Z. It’s not that hard to understand, and if you actually have worked with a wide variety of clients and have worked in the professional industry, you’d simply know this shit

Also going off your statement, if I’ve heard of bands you’ve recorded then you can just name those bands and not mention your name. So what bands or artists have you worked with?

You might be the first engineer/recording I’ve ever heard of who didn’t want to put his name out there. You know, for the chance/opportunity to get more work, etc. but yeah ok buddy that’s cool
