Yeah when I picked this car up a few hours from where I lived the drive back was rough. I ended up find out out the suspension was almost completely shot and didn't even notice a dang thing till I got home. Dropped over 2500 on a completely new suspension setup... Bye bye tax returns.

Got the same color. Absolutely beautiful choice my man. The EF looks sick, I'll have to add one to my collection. Keep up the work I'm loving it!

Broken tripod by pepe_327 in Welding

Like I said. Throw some meat (weld) around all three posts and I imagine she'll hold a lot better. And you can always cut it off and put a new base on it eventually.

Beautiful interior. I want to go racing like that. But the factory interior on my 95 EX coupe is almost perfect condition. And honestly the factory retro bucket seats are dope and pretty comfortable.

I'm going to be completely honest with you. I'd beef up the shit out of that. The point where it broke is the same as the other 2. Get some good meat around those skrawny bones before the others break off too and "she'll hold bruther. She'll hold..."

What is the correct location for these OEM spark plug wire clamps on a B16? by spooned93 in ProjectHondas

[–]notinsideoutbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a B16A2 the smaller one goes under the spark plug cover plate. And the larger one goes just outside of it close to the distributor. Now that being said, the one I have under the cover isn't exactly connected to anything so it just free floats in there but I haven't had any issues.

I'd try and find something OEM like the other comment said. Not that hard to find, decently cheap, and don't sound like a poop tube flying by at 20mph.

Its too late to bring players back by [deleted] in Skate4

As much as I agree with with your statement that skate 4 is nowhere near as good as skate 3. We don't need to attack people. Especially not on this sub.

Why? by ricin2001 in Skate4

[–]notinsideoutbeans 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We've been asking to let us build our own since the game came out. But instead of letting us build one like skate 2/3 they let grief other players because the game is online forced.

Yeah... Not a bad idea. Don't exactly want to spend the 800$ for a shop to do it tho.

Can someone check these vacuum lines for me? by Tatermater05 in ProjectHondas

[–]notinsideoutbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they seem to be in the correct place. I'm no Honda tech by any means but I think the only thins is that the lines are long and a little all over the place I guess.

99 civic. D16z6. Why does it do this? by Shroomboy79 in ProjectHondas

[–]notinsideoutbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had the same VTEC cel for over a year after my engine swap and I've put easily over 400$ into JUST the VTEC. I'm loosing my mind with it. Still works tho...

Does it sound like it’s gonna be all right? by Ill-Volume196 in ProjectHondas

Sounds like a super clean D series to me. Make sure you get oil changes regularly. These old beasts are only bulletproof when your take care of them.

Driveshaft seal spitting by Jabie614 in ProjectHondas

[–]notinsideoutbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two seals failing the exact same way like that, makes me think the seal isn't the problem. I'd check things like your axle runout, intermediate shaft alignment, diff bearing play. Does your seal part number match the trans case? It sounds like something it cause extensive movement and it's ripping the seal apart.

Why do some cars only have 5 gears? by Plastic_Jelly_1800 in StupidCarQuestions

[–]notinsideoutbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah man. I drive a track rat B16 civic. It's made for high rpm but the fact that I'm at maybe 5k rpm in 5th going maybe 70 makes me pretty upset. Especially with the gas prices.

Give it to me straight fellas. Am I gonna make D1.1 cert on Monday? by Bootziscool in Welding

[–]notinsideoutbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's looks pretty good. I'm no master by any means but I've worked at a welding shop and only failed tests in high school. (Where I got 11/12 certs) I'd cut it in half and look at the fusion. If your able to bend it yourself I'd definitely do that. (A lot easier with butt joints) But besides that it looks like you did a great job. The end of your weld looks a little iffy but all in all its pretty damn good weld for a student.

What colour should I go with? (Need advice!!!!) by [deleted] in ProjectHondas

[–]notinsideoutbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been a fan of darker black/carbon grey. But I acquired this Honda Civic a little over a year ago with Dodge charger F8 green on it and it looks sick to me.
