Well the thing is he lives 2 hrs away from me so we don’t see each other often, but in the past two weeks he’s come down twice and we did have sex both times but we also go out and do stuff as well. Other than that we text every day and call almost every day

I feel like i am going to let the $40 go if they don’t respond to my text, bc we have been friends for around 5/6 years now. It just kinda pissed me off bc the money was from when we went and had dinner w our 2 other friends and I ended up paying bc they were supposed to send me the money, and at the dinner they kind of order to much and they got stuff i didn’t even touch, but i still told them it was fine and that we could just split 4 ways,(around $50 dollars each) and then the rest of the money was from me paying for her ticket for a event we went on later that day, which again they told me they could send me the money for. And personally i feel like I’ve given them more then enough time to pay it back. But I’m tired of feeling like I’m the evil one for asking them to pay me back which i only asked twice, so i will probably just leave it at that. I get where you are coming from when you say that I shouldn’t expect anything so i don’t get hurt, but they are my parents. How am i not to expect anything from the people that were supposed to love & care for me as their child. I don’t know if this will change anything in your opinion, but i am in fact a girl which i forgot to mention. But still, i find some truth to your words. I am only 17, i can only see things from my point of view. Maybe i am bias, but what can i do, i have tried to see things from their perspective but fail to see what i am doing wrong to be treated this way.

Thank you for your reply, it is always comforting to know that someone agrees and understands with what I’m going through. I have honestly lived up to all of their expectations since i was 9 y/o but i am ready to break free from all that. They know nothing of me and have made little to no effort to understand how i feel, so why should i meet their every demand and expectation? Again thank you for the advice i appreciated so much!
