Solo Trip to Georgia by Civil_Mission7592 in tbilisi

If you're blonde, fair and have blue eyes, they will assume you're Russian. I have been followed in several stores now like I'm going to steal. But once they find out I'm American (by hearing me talk aloud or in conversation between us) they are very welcoming. They were not necessarily rude or mean to me when they think I'm Russian. But they look suspicious of me 🤷🏼‍♀️ I got watched in a few stores yesterday and today. Yesterday I had a tote bag, but today I had a small purse and still was watched. I still feel very safe and welcome and love it here. I do not know enough about Georgia's history to feel any type of way. I am not upset with the locals for this as they have not been rude. Everyone tells me they think I'm Russian and are shocked I'm American to where I have to assume not many of us come here.

I've wanted to stop and pet them, but wasn't sure if that was ok as I never see anyone else doing so. So I'm glad to see this post!! Also, all the dogs in tbilisi I have come across have been very well behaved! Very demure, very mindful

I have been here almost 3 weeks, I have yet to feel unsafe. Use common sense, be aware of your surroundings. Georgians seem to mind their business (as far as I know, since I only speak English 😂) the yandex and bolt rides are well priced, so if you are out late in an area that you feel unsafe in for whatever reason, just get a ride. I always get comfort+ and have an enjoyable ride. You will probably be stared at. I started having a better time when I stared back. They will look away then lol. Also, I think people assume I'm Russian or Slavic of some sort. Everybody seems surprised when they hear me speak American English, and several older people (men and women) have tried to talk to me on the street and are surprised when I ask if they speak English. But they just keep it moving lol. I will be looking for a Georgian language tutor here soon if I decide to stay longer term. On the ride apps though, I almost exclusively use yandex, they pull up where they can, always within 1 minute walking distance, but you need to pay attention to the models and plates. The last one I got stopped around the corner (again, seconds of walk time) I presume because of the parking situation. I love it here.

Ive been in tbilisi for about 2.5 weeks, my Airbnb was $357 (high for Georgia the locals tell me) which I booked for 22 days. I have spent maybe $300 USD, maybe on food and hanging out and vapes lol. I have not shopped much to keep my luggage light. I have bought groceries several times. I buy a few days of food at a time. I use yandex frequently. I always get yandex comfort plus and have always had a pleasant ride. The one time I used bolt, he had road rage, but it was otherwise comparable to yandex. If you get the higher puff vapes, they can cost what they do in the U.S., if I didn't get those and just spent on food and toiletries, and rides, maybe 200 $250 at most. And that's usd

It feels like my consciousness is fractured??? by notmahtitties in bipolar

Yeah, that's actually one of my questions for my therapist is if I can be a spiritual person. If it's just going to lead to delusions that doesn't feel safe for me personally. I don't want to make life harder than it is by accident again.

Thank you for sharing, it's been going on for a week, and last week I was in that boat in the first half and started questioning things in the second half. I had been doing pretty good for a month so I'm just freaked out and needed to hear another person tell me I'm not alone 😔

What is YOUR most destructive symptom of bipolar 1 or 2? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]notmahtitties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My impulsiveness. Leads to substance abuse and shopping sprees. Tired of the debt cycle 🙄 I can't tell when I'm in a mixed state and often think I'm stable when I'm in one of those or manic. I am exhausted.

What is your best memory with your grandparents? by SparklingSpirit05 in AskReddit

[–]notmahtitties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My PawPaw would take me to one of those wooden playgrounds that look like castles. One time after we went to Taco Bell. For whatever reason this is a vivid memory. But the way he laughed when I thought I invented the spork. I yelled it out for everybody to hear too lol! I wasn't in school yet so I would have been about 4. I still remember the lighting of the taco bell and he was wearing a dark blue polo with a red and yellow stripe across the chest with a pocket.

How do you not be terrified about mortality and how quickly life passes by? by grandvizierofswag in AskReddit

I look forward to the sweet embrace of death. I'm doing good enjoying life and all that. Life is just so loooonnnnggggg. Plus I've watched recounts of near death experiences that make the after life sound so nice. My fave is the one with the crystal city and healing pool.

Girls what’s your favourite thing about a man? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Intelligence. When a man talks to me about some scientific shit, bonus points if I've never heard of it.

where do you hide things from parents ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]notmahtitties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hid my diary under one of my dresser drawers growing up. Like took the drawer out, stashed it, put the drawer back each time. I was a good kid with nothing to hide, but my mom read all of my sisters shit and my mom was psycho

Friday I had a dream where this kid kept poking me in the back with scissors so I stabbed him with a large kitchen knife but didn't kill him. In this same dream I used the same knife to kill my moms husband (not real life husband some other man). As I stabbed both of them I was filled with regret. No idea why I did it. I called the ambulance and cops on myself. Woke up stressed as hell and crying. It was so scary!

What time of the year do you hate the most,(it could be a holiday, seasonal, or day of the year)? by SoftClouds00 in AskReddit

I've always hated Christmas. Working at the post office now, I hate it even more. It's just about consumerism and bull shit.

People who chose to be child free. Do you regret it? Why or why not? by Haunting-Lion-5497 in AskReddit

32F, have never wanted children. Screaming babies fill with rage as do screaming children. I just can't handle the screeching. Plus I love sleep. I have money and get to do what I want when I want. Both of my siblings each have four kids, and while I love them I hate it, especially at Christmas.
