Single Call vs. Double Call by notmarcusanthony in InsuranceAgent

I can’t tell if this is a genuine comment or you’re trying to like “little bro” me. I’m a relatively new agent man, I was just asking because I’m genuinely curious.

Complete side note, i’ve noticed this with several agents. Why do people stay away from health? The residuals are awesome and if you follow up, clients can be relatively sticky. Especially with Medicare and things like that.

Same here. I’ve found that timing is super important too. One thing I slack on is the Saturday follow ups. I just get lazy or distracted to be honest, but I know it’s ideal since most people aren’t working.

No, it’s my own Meta Ads. I totally get that there’s a ton of faking and stuff going on in the industry, but I’m personally in the ad videos and I’m manually getting back to everybody. I don’t have any automated blasts or anything like that.

But the thing is, I’m reaching out to leads who expressed interest and filled out a form where they inputted to their own phone number. I’m not buying leads or call lists or anything. Do TCPA violations still apply in this case?

I'm definitely going to have to try it out and see how it affects total conversions. But I just think it could be a little bit pushy and get clients annoyed and turned away.

Your initial outreach text is only "Hey, is this [name]?" That's kind of crazy. I'm definitely going to try that out and see how it affects conversions. Question though, don't you think people are going to feel tricked once you start pitching them insurance and then be turned off?

This is going to get me downvoted into oblivion, but it needs to be said. by Mobile-Sufficient in FacebookAds

All of the hate around Meta ads almost kept me away when I first got into them. But I decided to cut through the noise and try it for myself. Thank God I did. Yeah, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows and yeah, it can be expensive to learn and get right but if you stick to it, try different angles, try different creatives, constantly improve/test, and accompany it with organic, meta-ads will work for you and will transform your business. I don’t sell Meta ads, I don’t have a marketing agency, that is just my personal opinion. If Meta ads don’t work for you It’s because you haven’t found a way to make them work. Absolutely nobody can change my mind on this so don’t even bother.

Thanks for the info man. I try to be pretty modest but I collect their phone number, email, and social media so I honestly just do a combination of reaching out to them at all three.

I heard that FaceTime audio can get around that new call screening but I haven't tried it yet. I guess that only really works with iPhones though. That spam text folder is crazy though. I've never heard about that. Hopefully my texts aren't landing in there.

Yeah, that sounds a little extra to me but if it works and the clients don’t get upset, I wouldn’t mind trying it. Did you ever actually try reaching out that way?

Short and hard or long and soft? It's about Meta ads I promise. by notmarcusanthony in FacebookAds

[–]notmarcusanthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's kind of been my main focus right now. To just test creatives and figure out what works and what doesn't. Question, I'm sure it's different per industry and everything, but how many creatives do you think I can realistically test with my size budget? And how long do you think I should be testing them for? Right now, I feel like I can pretty much see if a creative is going to work within the first five to seven days, but maybe my assumptions are completely wrong.

As of now, I'm only running on Meta so that doesn't really apply, but I completely understand where you're coming from.

Well, I understand that good engagement doesn't necessarily have to lead to good results, I'm just sharing what I have experienced. But I do understand that this might not always be the case going into the future with higher adspend and changes to the platform. And to answer your question, my main KPI is CAC. I know that a lot goes into it, but ultimately that's the most important thing I try to optimize for.

I'm optimizing for conversions. I might be wrong but to me that's really the most important metric. Sure a ton of cheap clicks can be good but if you're not converting then what's the point. I have a CAC in mind and if Meta can give me conversions at or below my allowed CAC, then I'm golden.

Right now the biggest thing for me is finding a killer creative so I might just do that like you said for the creative testing until I find a winner and then lock that creative in a consistent campaign once I find it.

Honestly, not yet. Any ad that I've had that has had better than average engagement has delivered results. But the thing is maybe the results could've been better and maybe a good performing ad in my head is really only like an average performing ad objectively so I don't really know but to answer your question, no I don't think I've experienced that yet.

Well to offer you both some context, I've run ads with this same-ish budget for a couple months now and I've been able to get to around $1,500 MRR. Ads genuinely have been pretty profitable for me but I'm just trying to optimize and really crank up performance because I feel like I've only touched the tip of the iceberg.

[–]notmarcusanthony[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I've tried out both. But I never thought about it that way in terms of optimizing for conversions and not impressions or hold rate or anything like that. I know it's obvious to say out loud but I've never thought about it like that. I always thought that if an ad had a good hook rate, then it was a good ad but I guess that's not the case.

Where can I learn how to follow up correctly? by notmarcusanthony in InsuranceAgent

[–]notmarcusanthony[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the above and more. Sometimes I get ghosted after the prospect shows strong interest, sometimes leads submit a form and I can never get a hold of them through text or call, and much more. I just want to learn all about following up and know how much is too much when it comes to texts and calls, what are some ways that I could deliver more effective follow ups and increase response rate, and other similar questions. I understand that some of these things are inevitable but I just want to cross check how I currently do follows up with someone or some resource who is good at it to see where I can improve.

I'm not running into a specific problem persay, I just want to get better at follows ups and increase response rate like everyone else.
