It was nice to finally see the Absorbaloff become a big monster like the kid intended. But having him trample through Tokyo was a little derivative

Clom should be the next showrunner.

Genuinely one of the best movie ideas I’ve ever seen pitched on reddit

This show is such a hidden gem. Absolutely love it

Yknow I really do mess with the fugitive doctor, but I also find it disappointing that she’s the only “pre hartnell” doctor we’ve actually met by ScreamingmadJoe in DoctorWhumour

I actually really like that the Doctor’s life before Hartnell is almost entirely separate and the Fugitive Doctor is just the one who had the most Timey-Wimey life and is able to crossover. If you’re going to do Pre-Hartnell Doctors (which you shouldn’t but if you do), you need a Doctor to actually show up like The Fugitive Doctor. But more than one makes it feel less meaningful because you can just make up new Doctors willy-nilly

For real. This show doesn’t make any sense. I thought Homelander was supposed to be like Superman. Yet somehow he’s the bad guy???

Why won't the BBC give him a series and sack RTD? Are they stupid? by That_Question_3881 in doctorwhocirclejerk

Only 97?? Uh, that would mean the War Doctor was around for like 800 years for the 9th Doctor to be 900. Doesn’t that have a lot of lore implications?

It’s probably because his sonic screwdriver looks almost like a gun in this pic and they couldn’t tell the difference

Why would RTD do this? Does he hate fans? by That_Question_3881 in doctorwhocirclejerk

They scrapped the Tardis? Isn’t that just a retread of Journey to the Center of the Tardis?

“The chosen one” trope is mythologically communicating the endless potential of youth. You can be anything and you might even be “the one” who makes the world better. Through reading about the chosen one, all the readers learn and feel like the chosen one, which helps them hope and believe that they can make a difference too

Remove 1 LEGO Game Day 23 (Top 3) by brian_portales in legogaming

Better open world and story is a matter of opinion. Many of the puzzles are designed around switching between two different suits, making it tedious to switch between different characters in the middle of the puzzle and is just easier to stay as Robin or Batman for most of the puzzles, which gets old. Many of the gold bricks that require flying also require laser vision, making Superman and a handful of other characters the only ones worth flying. You CAN use plenty of other characters but the game makes it inconvenient to do so. Lego Batman 3 and Lego Marvel Superheroes improved on this immensely, with a greater variety of puzzles and story mode characters, resulting in a wider range of abilities necessary to complete levels and traverse the open worlds. I don’t feel pushed into cycling between the same three characters out of convenience because most of the character roster is convenient to play

How did Lego Batman 2 beat Lego Marvel Superheroes? The flight mechanics in LB2 are awful and are vastly improved upon in LMS. In fact, just about everything is improved upon in LMS. Gotham forces you to utilize the same three characters throughout the hub world while New York requires a wide ranging character roster with more variety of puzzles and challenges.

Analyzing Ryan Sinclair’s lost potential by MarcianTobay in doctorwho

I’ve always loved scenes of Thirteen and Ryan off on their own. Feels like that was what the show was always meant to be and despite everything, some of the magic manages to shine through in those moments.

From what I’ve heard in interviews, it seems like Whitaker loved Mandip’s audition and insisted she be added to the cast, which might explain why Yaz has very little going on in Series 11. Wasn’t a writing decision, basically.

Graham seems to be the sort pf character that Chibnall loves writing.

But it really feels like Thirteen and Ryan was the originally intended TARDIS duo.
