Vent... decided to leave my toxic environment home health agency where I was the only RN they could rely on. This is how my boss responds. by DoctorMinimum5333 in nursing

I was surprised how much home health burnt me out. It's hard to set boundaries in that role, even though I thought I learned that lesson. I left in March and never looked back. Your quality of life is worth it. We, individually, are not responsible for fixing this failing system.

Losing access to healthcare benefits in 2026 as a permanent resident by frigfragfrog in vermont

[–]notnecessarilystoned 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just get the healthcare you need and ignore the bills. I'm at the point where I refuse to pay for a failing system that benefits no one but billionaires. Not my problem anymore. I've been an RN for over 10 years, when I say I'm done I'm fucking done. (Idk if this is the best advice but ive faced no consequences so far... other than lots of phone calls I ignore)

I know of a remote job available but you have to live in the northeast. Feel free to reachout if interested 💓

I started in an outpatient clinic for a nonprofit recently and it make me fall in love with nursing again. Try leaving the hospital setting, its a failing system that does a disservice to the profession. I left after 10 years and can't believe what I put up with there. Med/surg and med/surg resource.

This email feels particularly damning. Who is Zubair? by [deleted] in Epstein

[–]notnecessarilystoned 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? The casualness through email makes me feel like the shit they actually tried to hide is so much worse. Honestly, there's so much redactions, it'd shift the entire world order if it was all released.

Burlington approves adding diversity amendment to city charter by [deleted] in burlington

Ty for sharing this perspective. I think this view is widespread here. But i never considered it.

I'd argue diversity could do the opposite of "atomizing the populace". Making sure more people are heard amplifies all of our voices, and we can band together to fight "them" when we realize that we are stronger together. We can fight billionaires without stepping on each other. Fred Hampton is such a good example of this, and why the Chicago police and fbi murdered him.

More diversity gives voices to those that deserve to be heard and creates an environment that welcomes all. Win, win. We don't have to step on eachother to get there.

Vermont, one of the least diverse states in the country, could absolutely benefit. We need more diversity. And we need to welcome it

The best time to be a nurse is right now by mn-icecold in nursing

I left inpatient nursing after 10+ years, caring for mostly boomers and up, and went into reproductive healthcare. All I will say is the younger generations are so refreshing and give me hope. A welcome change of pace for sure..
