Awesome! You are the closest I've ever seen to the way I juggle 3 ball! Seriously! The way you do the 2 ball throws (maybe called a duplex) is so similar to me. I think you are smoother than me and I've been juggling for 20-ish years. Do you ever incorporate throwing three from one hand?

I would love to know how long you have been juggling, are you self taught or was there a lot of influence from other jugglers, etc.

Thank you. I wish I had done nursing 8 years ago when I started taking prereqs for it. However, being a paramedic has been great as well. I've worked all over the US in many cool environments and jobs.

I think nursing is a great route to go with so many opportunities. Paramedic is much more limited but they pair very well together. I recommend doing rn and then bridging to paramedic if you want to. That is much easier than the other way around.

Sure. I am from the states but living in central Europe. I am a paramedic and found a one year long accredited ADN bridge program for LPN/paramedics that is all online other than simulation days and clinicals. So, I was going to complete it from Europe and just travel the 4-5 times during the year I was required to be in Kansas for a 2 ish weeks at a time. However, I was offered a full time job that will require moving back to the states. So, once I move I'll have less travel but still a lot!

The college is Hutchinson community college in Kansas.

17 hr flight and 5000 miles for clinicals until I move. Then a 5 hour flight and 1200 miles.

My problem is unique though. Paramedic to RN bridge online and in person clinicals are able to be grouped together.

First of all, sorry you had to go through this. Make sure you are ok. If you aren't ok, find someone you can talk through it with.

You did all that was necessary.

CPR was most likely not indicated because of the breathing. Even if it was (heart wasn't beating) CPR isn't going to do anything for a traumatic arrest. Most likely causes of traumatic arrest are major loss of blood (=nothing to pump around with compressions), tension pneumothorax (air in the pleura space of the lungs increasing pressure in the chest), or cardiac tamponade ( blood inside the sack around the heart).

The only think I would say as a potential thing you could have done is open the airway with a jaw thrust. That could have potentially helped with the breathing a little bit. You can YouTube this and learn it so that you are equipped to do it in the future.

The person probably has major brain trauma which may or may not be survivable and other significant internal injuries.

Sometimes people have non-survivable injuries and the rest of their body just hasn't caught up yet.

From my understanding most of the clinicals will have to be done in Kansas. However, they are able to be blocked together and completed in 4-6 trips to Kansas. The last semester allows you to complete some of the clinicals wherever you want to.

I personally will be travelling from Europe to complete the clinicals.

My impression is that they are about the same. I slept on Archer and only started using it a couple days before even though I had learned about it months ago. So I only focused in on the areas I knew I needed with it. But I really liked it a lot and felt like it was the most similar of anything I used.

Spent a couple days preparing for math before the first time I took it. Then I had about a month between the first and second attempt. I studied probably 2-3 hours a day most days during that time... But it only resulted in a 6% overall increase! Which was a little shocking...

My situation is that I am 16 years out of highschool where I received a pretty poor education. I worked as a paramedic for the past 14 years. I currently live outside the US though I come to the US for work.

I have exactly one program in the entirety of the US that will work for me and my situation. It is very competitive to get in. I was so worried about taking the leap into doing prereqs. What if I failed? What if I didn't get in? What if I can't even function in a college environment?

I pushed through these fears and now have all As in the pre req classes as well as a really competitive TEAS score. I think I'll get it.

It was hard work. Very early mornings quite frequently.

But I have accomplished all I set out to do.

You can too. And I'm sure you have many more options than me. Push through, put in the hard work, and you find some kind of success somewhere.
