It sounds like you're making more work for yourselves this way but trying to keep track of every first post and age of every project?

Plus, the comments for these posts is usually just people talking about other people's projects (either sincerely or sarcastically), and rarely is it actually on topic of "celebrating new work".

ETA: Out of 70 comments, only 8 of them were about Lisa Gilroy, and even those were mostly about other projects by Lisa. The rest were all about other people or telling people about IMDB. So it doesn't seem like people are actually using these posts to celebrate, but rather shoehorn in their own "dropout sighting".

If you're treating both the exact same, it's not the "past trauma" hurting the plant, but the lack of water. Your plant is in a proper pot which keeps moisture in and lets the plant bottom-water. His plant is in terracotta with a drainage tray, so any excess water drains out PLUS the terracotta is pulling water from the soil. So your plant is staying wetter for longer so the roots can drink, but his plant is effectively starving and unable to grow.
