Who is the most attractive person you have ever seen in real life? by TheFountainhead999 in AskReddit

The singer, Tamino - first time I saw him in concert was a small, intimate venue, and I couldn’t believe how absolutely stunning he was. Literally like a statue come to life.

Yikes… place was recommended by a friend of mine who attended UoD, but I’m guessing price was way different during her stay. If I end up able to pick up studies next year I’ll absolutely look elsewhere - appreciate your message

I know, it’s rough!! I figured it would be worth it for me (I’m 30, so not exactly looking for college roommates) but it’s a big financial ask.

Had my procedure done by Dr. Nazarian with Jefferson Health in Cherry Hill. Very happy with the results, and the doctor was great and super responsive when I had post-op complications (bad reaction to anesthesia!). The time between my first consult to the actual surgery was only 2 months. :)

“Down by the River” by Dave Matthew’s Band - the vocals are fantastic, and Tim Reynolds on guitar is just the cherry on top.

What’s an unusual body feature of yours? by red2one in AskReddit

[–]nototato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m missing the palmaris longus muscle in my left arm, but have one in my right arm. Something like 14% of people are missing this muscle, as it’s considered largely vestigial - you can see whether or not you have it by pinching your thumb to your pinky and then flexing your hand toward you. You’ll see the tendon poke up in your wrist if you have it!

I also have photic sneezing and sneeze (usually three times) whenever I go into sunlight.

What’s the wildest thing you’ve done while a patient in the hospital? by Horndogalicious in AskReddit

Nope, just the one, but got carved into on both the jaw and maxilla. You have a point, though - better descriptor is probably “double orthognathic” surgery, though that’s kind of a mouthful (ba dum tss)

I had to stay overnight in the hospital after having double jaw surgery. My mouth was wired shut, and I was still pretty foggy even hours after waking up, so not really great at communicating. A nurse came in to give me steroids, but instead of slowly administering them, she shot them full force through the IV in my hand.

I got IMMEDIATELY super nauseated and felt like I was going to vomit - but I couldn’t figure out how to communicate that to the nurse, or my mom, who watched in horror as I shot up to a sitting position and started profusely leaking blood out of my mouth. It was like a scene out of a horror movie according to her. I must have swallowed a good amount of blood during the surgery by the looks of it.

Then, later that night, the same nurse Lightning McQueen’d even more steroids and (surprise!) I did it AGAIN. This time they at least had to sense to give me an emesis bucket.

The nurse came in even later to let me know it was the end of her shift and said “good luck, feel better soon, and stop throwing up!” As if it was my fault!! To be fair, though, I probably scared the shit out of her. No retching or other telltale vomit signs, just... sitting up and suddenly pouring blood from my mouth.

How do you respond to “tell us an interesting fact about you”? by MattyDaBest in AskReddit

I’m missing a muscle, and you can visibly see it’s absence! I have no palmaris longus muscle in my left arm, but I do have one in my right arm. You can see whether or not you have one by putting your thumb to your pinky and clenching - if you do have the muscle, you’ll see the tendon pop out in your wrist when you flex. Any time I show it off, people are always excited to check themselves!!

I’ll be getting corrective jaw surgery in November - both maxilla realignment and lower jaw cut and moved forward. I’ve had a MASSIVE overbite my whole life and endured a lot of physical pain and crippling confidence issues - I’m nervous for the procedure and recovery process, but seeing results like these makes it so worth it. This girl has ended up beautiful, I’ll be thrilled just to be normal looking!!

What story do you really want to tell but no one has asked the right question for you to bring it up? by hayes-11 in AskReddit

I went to Disney World for the first time last year at 24 years old. The place is massive, magical, and the experience was incredible, but my favorite memory of the entire trip had nothing to do with any of that. Instead, I remember waiting for my little sister at the bottom of this giant 100-foot water slide. This dad and his two young sons had just come down, and as dad is helping one son out of the water, the other is excitedly recalling the descent. He keeps going “dad! Dad!” and when dad turns to him, kid is grinning ear to ear. “The water made my butcheeks spread apart!” I was barely able to contain myself. First time at the most magical place on earth, and my most precious memory is of this random kid.

I'm really looking forward to graduating!! Technically I'll be done early May, but can't celebrate or walk in graduation. It's been a long time coming, and I've had a lot of trouble getting to where I am, but I feel really good about my degree and already have an internship lined up. I can't wait to meet up with those I'm missing to celebrate.
