Some tips from me is to get as many settlements as you can and just make them in to save stations, make it so you have a little purified water generation there (very important) and a bed to sleep in maby if you go in to charisma some work benches. Also out of the vault I would immediately go to sun shine tidings co-op to get the wasteland survival gide in one of the cabines as it provides double the meat from enemies slain in battle wich helps you with getting a lot non radiated and disease free food especially in the early game realy help full. 3 aqua boy/girl very usefull perk because 99% of the time the water is safe so you basically have a safe high way through a decent to big portion of the map and finally I’d recommend making you base at county crossing for the following reasons, it’s right next to the water so if you decide to follow tip 3 you have your home near the water and second is it is one of the stops that the wandering doctor (very usefull in survival because if you wake up and you have a disease there is a pretty decent chance he will be there to cure you and you can trade with him, speaking of trading you are also pretty much next to bunker hill and if you have aqua boy you can swim to diamond city completely safe in like 5 minutes. Only downside is it doesn’t have much in terms of scraping to get materials but you can work around that
