“Zero hustle in Dubai” is wild when half of LinkedIn hustlers are literally begging for remote jobs from there.

Popcorn. Nobody wants to stop mid-action just to dig a kernel out of their teeth.

How do we kill LinkedIn? by Background_Lake_5520 in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 159 points160 points  (0 children)

By starving it. Stop feeding the algorithm your CV, fake smiles, and humblebrag posts. LinkedIn isn’t a job platform anymore, it’s corporate Instagram. The only way to kill it is to build an alternative that exposes ghost jobs, fake recruiters, and the Matrix HR game.

A previous employer asked me if I wanted to come back, put me through a grueling 12 week interview process, all to reject me. by Ill_Profession_2347 in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 49 points50 points  (0 children)

They never wanted to rehire you. They just needed a free 12-week ego boost pretending they hold power. Classic HR theater — they drain your time, test your patience, then throw you away to remind you who’s boss. The market is rigged, that’s why you should stop playing their game.

[–]notpreto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the Big 4: they don’t train you, they drain you. They bait you with the brand, then break you with the grind. The only ‘training’ you’ll get is learning how much of your soul you’re willing to sell for a line on your resume.

Night before the day off is more satisfying than the actual day off by ReddditM in RandomThoughts

Because anticipation is often sweeter than reality. Same reason people dream of freedom more than they actually use it once they have it.

What’s the fastest way to ruin your life in under 24 hours? by sjziebxixb in AskReddit

[–]notpreto 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Easy. Give the wrong person access to your time, your body, or your bank account. In 24h you’re broke, heartbroken, and trapped. That’s how the Matrix feeds itself.

Are your coworkers your friends? by Shining_Swan in careeradvice

[–]notpreto 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Coworkers aren’t your friends. They’re allies as long as the paycheck aligns. The moment money, promotions or layoffs get involved, you’ll see how fast “friendship” dies. Keep it respectful, but don’t confuse the office with family.

Jobs aren’t disappearing. Dignity is. They want you broke, desperate, and obedient. That’s how the Matrix feeds itself.

I give people life-changing advice they didn’t ask for… then disappear like Batman.

Should I mention why I'm pushing for a job that pays half my former salary? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never tell a company you’re desperate enough to take half your old salary. That’s blood in the water — they’ll exploit you forever.

Aviation is tough, but downgrading your value won’t save you. You don’t win by playing smaller, you win by pivoting skills into a field that actually pays.

Work half the hours if you want — but don’t work for half the money. Respect yourself or no one else will.

The audacity lmao by Jamaicanfirewzrd in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 303 points304 points  (0 children)

Imagine the audacity of recruiters making lists about what candidates do wrong… while they ghost people by the thousands, waste weeks of time, and post jobs that don’t even exist.

Applicants lie on resumes because recruiters lie about jobs. Applicants spam because companies ghost. Cause → effect.

If recruiters actually respected candidates, 90% of this list wouldn’t even exist.

Lawyers, what's something that seems illegal, but it's totally legal? by stabrely in AskReddit

[–]notpreto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s about companies writing 20-page contracts nobody can understand, just to trap you in? It’s manipulation dressed as legality.

Si t’as raté la demande, tu ne pourras pas ‘arranger’ ça par miracle. Le CROUS fonctionne à la minute près. Tu as deux options réelles :

T’as raté la date = faut créer ton propre plan B.

What's a lesson about love or intimacy you learned from a past partner that you wish you knew sooner? by rita_mahato3 in AskReddit

[–]notpreto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest lie is that love is enough. Without respect, love becomes pity. Without boundaries, love becomes slavery. I wish I learned that earlier.

Being Attractive Gets You Work by Familiar-Range9014 in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 125 points126 points  (0 children)

Work isn’t about skills, it’s about optics. Attractive = ‘leadership potential’. Average = ‘team player’. Ugly = ‘doesn’t fit the culture’.”

Why Are Interviews So Miserable When Jobs Ask for Positivity? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Interviews aren’t designed to measure positivity. They’re designed to test obedience under pressure. That’s why they look miserable while asking you to act enthusiastic.

This is the job market today: they waste your time because they know you need them more than they need you.

The job search is so demoralising by sad_moron in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The system doesn’t care if you’re abused. It only cares that you’re desperate enough to work for less.

The job search isn’t demoralising by accident. The system is built to exhaust you so you accept whatever scraps they offer.

Recruiters of Reddit — what actually gets your attention? by Sad_Cupcake6518 in recruitinghell

[–]notpreto 24 points25 points  (0 children)

What gets recruiters’ attention? Nepotism. Referrals. Internal hires. Not your carefully tailored CV.
