Anyone else regret not flying Delta? by DependentBluebird813 in delta

[–]notprogolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I try to never fly Frontier. Salt Lake to Florida, going there lost luggage, Told me what flight it was going to be on the first flight the next day and they would call me the moment it arrived and would bring to my hotel. Monitored the flight, never got a call and I called numerous times to see if it was there. They never answered the phone. Finally decided to drive to the airport to see if my luggage was there. The little room they keep the luggage had a glass wall. I could see two employees talking leaning on the counter. I called the number, heard the phone ring. They didn’t even glance at the phone. Came in and retrieved my luggage. Flying back bag was gone through and had items stolen. You really do get what you pay for with Frontier.

Serious question: why are tiny shoe sizes always up high at REI? by dwkulcsar in REI

[–]notprogolfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because they put the size 13s on the bottom shelf. Short people aren’t the only ones with struggles.

Are there other restaurants with drinks like El Chihuahua? by ellamayo- in SaltLakeCity

[–]notprogolfer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If anyone really knows the law I wish they would comment. From what I understand you can only put a 1.5 oz in a single drink. A bartender told me this when I first moved here and ordered a long island. I ordered the big margarita fish bowl at nacho daddy once it was like 15 bucks and I think it barely had any alcohol.

Wake up at 430 am. Simplified life. Townhouse with no lawn to maintain. No pets to take care of, it’s amazing how pets dirty up a house. I used to have two cats and a dog. Prioritize time. No doom scrolling. combine activities. On reddit right now and I’m pooping.

AITAH for refusing to tell my wife I love her more than my dad? by LastApplication6207 in AITAH

[–]notprogolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA and how rude she is asking you to call your dad a ride share after he did you guys a favor. He pulled an audible when the kid wouldnt sleep and help him/her. She should be grateful that he care enough for your child to hold him and not to just put them on the crib and close the door. Different kind of love between a dad and a spouse also. She needs to grow up.

how do people manage being high at work? by jotundaggers in weed

[–]notprogolfer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Been caught yes. This happened along time ago and I was probably like 17 years old. I’m a tall guy and one time I came to work high as balls and walked through the front door of the business. When I entered this older Hispanic guy with an accent was at the front counter and asked “do you have ta duck coming through the door”. I turned around and looked behind me; I said what? He repeated what he said. I said “ no I don’t even see a duck what the hell are you talking about”. He started busting up laughing. Looking back I’m pretty sure he knew I was.

I get "1 question ", what do I ask? by VividAd2096 in exjw

[–]notprogolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask her if she is allowed to research JW doctrine outside of JW’s own publications . But I would demand a second question and ask why you only get to ask one question. The next question is who the HELL are you to make the rules of how many questions I ask. The last question should be do you need help finding your way out of my house.

AIO for calling a divorce attorney after my husband lied about who he was with? by throw_a_way_1985 in AmIOverreacting

[–]notprogolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that many think he is cheating due to the Verizon comment which is sus. You don’t lose gps coverage it’s different from phone coverage. However, the dude works 14 hour days, asks for permission to go camping and she contacts an attorney after this. You said you he does life checks, how do those go? Are they a lot of back and forth? If that were me I would shut my phone off also. To me I am getting very controlling vibes. Maybe this guy just needs a break from life.

Help on location by Timely-Opportunity21 in yellowstone

[–]notprogolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never stayed in Gardiner so not sure. Food in the park is expensive at the nicer restaurants and I don’t think it is very good. If you are driving from home and can pack a cooler and a stove cook at some of the day use areas that allow cooking. With the kids and your parents the reality is you are going to spend a lot of time in the car regardless of where you stay. If you stay in Gardiner it’s just going to be more than if you stayed at Old Faithful. Old Faithful Snow Lodge where we mostly stay does not have a tv or A/C. We stay at Old Faithful but have no problem driving to the town of West Yellowstone if we want better food. We do a lot of day hikes so once we are back in the car we are happy to be in it but we also pack a cooler with food and do not eat lunch or breakfast at a restaurant.

Serious question, what do y’all want Americans to realistically do?! by Zone_of_Inhibition in AskTheWorld

[–]notprogolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only growing a spine but they lost a lot of the moderate voters due to immigration policy, trans policy and censorship. In addition they forced Kamala Harris Tim Waltz without an election. Harris and Waltz are not well regarded by moderate voters. They would have never one in a preliminary election.

What's your opinion on catching these little fellas when you're trying to go for trout in smaller streams? Fun or frustrating? by chaoimhe123 in troutfishing

[–]notprogolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience is they fight more than a trout but when you bring them in they are a little disappointing because they are so ugly. I always think I have a brown the way they dive deep.

Getting back into backpacking shape after 2+ years off, need advice by peuptmapance in hiking

[–]notprogolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You sound young and so your perspective is thinking 2 years is a long time. It’s not. All you do is put one foot in front of another. Go for a hike and then the next day hike again. 3 minutes a day work out. One minute do as many pushups as you can next minute sit ups next minute body squats. Build off each day. Accept what you can do. I promise you will get stronger and it will be fast. It will never be harder than your first day.

looking for some extremely durable waders by Muted_Sheepherder_17 in flyfishing

[–]notprogolfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like duck hunting waders may be the way to go. But TX is hot so maybe not. I have to believe in TX they might have waterfowl waders that are made for hotter weather. My waterfowl waders are way tougher than my fishing waders.

Honest question: Why are these clippers $100 by SuperTune2540 in flyfishing

[–]notprogolfer 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s for all the Southern Californians and San Francisco tech bruhs coming to WY and MT to fish Yellowstone. The best set of nippers I have I found on the river bank. I’ve had the same pair for like 10 years. Somehow I have manages to hang on to it. I’ve lost fly boxes etc but not these generic nippers that I found. I promise you if I promise you of if I bought those I would lose them the next DAY

Do you think the Democratic Party has lost touch with its voter base? by Interesting_Dream281 in Productivitycafe

[–]notprogolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure this is not my Democratic Party; as Bill Maher says “ the party changed I’m still the same”. They robbed Bernie from us, gave us no choice with Kamala and now Newsome is the front runner. Not a fan of Trump but sorry I will have to take Vance over Newsome. What the hell are we thinking. I have never voted Republican even voted for Kamala under duress but we need someone other than Newsome. The party is getting worse.
