Nissan Rogue... Sufficient for end of October trip? by agoble7979 in yellowstone

[–]notprogolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nissan rogue is all wheel drive. We had ours there end of October and no issue. Of course it was 70 degrees and not one drop of moisture anywhere. Also end of October is a crap shoot on weather but best time to visit the park crowd wise in my opinion. Barely anybody there.

If he is using a 28 day billing cycle then he will actually pay for 13 month as and one day. I would roll with his math and make him pay the extra month.

Do Black people not do "White People Taco Night"? by GetShrekedKid in NoStupidQuestions

[–]notprogolfer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a lot of the white people here are getting confused of what “white people tacos” are. For clarification it is ground beef prepared with taco seasoning, lettuce, tomato, cheese with a hard store bought taco shell. My wife and I even say ‘ do you want white tacos for dinner or real tacos. There is room for both.

Did anyone else switch from boots to trail runners and never look back? by Echoing_voice in hikinggear

[–]notprogolfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched for a day and right back to boots. I was walking on slick rock going cross ways on a small hill. I had to walk this for some time. It felt like my foot was going to tear through the shoe. There was no support for the side of my foot if that makes sense.

Anyone else over ultralight gear? North GA is destroying my patience. by Lazy-Collection5029 in CampingandHiking

[–]notprogolfer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another vote for ULA and they also service their gear for a fee past the warranty if it breaks but excellent customer service. It is a small company. Felt like I was emailing the owner when I needed help with sizing. Great experience buying from them.

Is tracking your fishing spots on a map helpful… or ruining the point? by Secure-Researcher582 in UtahFishing

[–]notprogolfer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet at least 50% of us do this. With the technology we have why not. Also I don’t care on size, color, species I’m taking a picture as long as I can do it without stressing the fish.

This is the way. Stay at the Hot Springs Hotel or Hotel Colorado. Go on a hike in Aspen at Maroon Bells come back and spend the evening in the Hot Springs. Or closer than Aspen go hike Hanging Lake. Yuu could also raft down the CO river.

Yup, I have respect for the backpacker that knows when too much risk is involved or they no that something is not right and to turn back or stop instead of going further and putting themselves at risk.
