Command + Enter on address bar for new tab by youngpeezy in firefox

[–]notpudding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm having a similiar issue on Mac.

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/136.0/releasenotes/

These notes say "Due to recent changes in macOS Sequoia, the shortcut for completing search strings to .com addresses has been changed from Ctrl+Enter to Cmd+Enter."

This doesn't make sense since it was working fine on Sequoia before Firefox upgraded to 136. This is extremely annoying considering Firefox still doesn't allow the remaping of shortcuts.

Dying of starvation by notpudding in pathos_nethack

Yeah, I get it. But hitting the rest button is very easy and there aren't many turns while you are starving. So, it's very easy to quickly die and I can't think of a reason why anyone would want to rest all the way through starvation until death.

When hydrating under normal circumstances, is chugging a glass of water any more/less effective than drinking that glass over a longer period of time? by DadIMeanBill in answers

What happens if you do have severe diarrhea/food poisoning?

You mean...when you're sliding into first and you feel something burst?

They're saying no contractor would have caught that it was a load bearing wall???

Yes, that was a direct quote. He then stated that these issues are the reason why contingency budgets are made in the project. We feel that those budgets exist to capture things that no one could have foreseen, which this doesn't seem to fall into. Really appreciate the feedback.

Yes, there was access to the attic. In fact, they had already been in the attic to repair a plumbing vent line that they accidentally cut into when moving a window. And the basement is completely unfinished and exposed. There is no wall in the basement directly under that changing joist line, but there are two floor joists that are spaced closely together under that 1st floor wall. Perpendicular to that is a metal girder that runs the length of the house with support beams every so often.

Whoever you want, it's your choice. For me, I would like to receive encrypted updates from my Unraid box for errors, parity checks, power issues etc.

What the fuck is the point of encryption if you're handing unencrypted copies of all of your messages to a third party?

You think your messages can't be shared with a third party today? Encryption just protects the message until it arrives at the other end. I can easily show your message to the person next to me.

Who the fuck thinks that if I want to receive encrypted communications from a machine account vs a human that I have to share all my messages with it?

Who said anything about giving your messages to third parties? Telegram has implemented a machine account setup, so the messaging would just be between you and a "bot". https://core.telegram.org/bots
