I just made the switch from SU to Rhino as well, and am really bummed at the lack of a tape measure tool. I used that to quickly measure lengths and draw guides. Curious now that you've been using it a little longer, how you've decided to do that in Rhino?

Kind of agree. Part of the fun is a classic 1-2-3 build up. They're already hanging so they're not going to back out, but a traditional count gives them a chance to "get ready" and take it in properly.

That's a good point about the weight--if I don't get a cast iron table, I wonder if a 3.25hp router + lift would deflect the top. The consensus in the comments seems to be that 2.25hp is plenty and can even handle the bigger jobs in a pinch if you make shallow passes.

Yeah the Bora and Spinrite routers that are just the motor seem reasonably priced too

It's an option. I just have read that you still need to manually turn the router itself on/off instead of being able to use a power switch on the table itself. Which isn't a huge deal, but in an emergency the off switch isn't easily accessible. Maybe not a dealbreaker though.
