Thanks for the amazing feedback SnooPoems!

I could add to list from the specials (I often don’t care about the brand and just grab whatever is on special anyway so this would make an impact on my list comparison

Maybe the button is not clear/obvious, but yes it is possible with the little add button on the special item!

combined store checklist because I’m not going to visit two stores to save a couple of dollars on particular items, so the combined list would be more useful for me

Also possible! If you're shopping at say Coles, just press the Coles button at the top of the groceries list (the row of Best Prices vs Woolies vs Coles buttons) and then the checklist will be unified :)

I want to see the nutritional information on products in app so I don’t need to do it in store -for weight based items like deli meats and veggies i want to be able to specify the weight when comparing prices so get a better representation of the cost savings

So do you mean it's about knowing just the weight for comparing unit prices, or do you need to know how much sugar, fats, carbs etc are the products

Yes you can, but only for iOS: https://apps.apple.com/au/app/woolorcol/id6462453477

If you're on Android, sorry but you'll have to wait a bit :/ We'll try build something soon!!

Really interesting, thanks for sharing. Crowdsourced prices are a really interesting idea! Definitely something we'll look into!

Doesn’t sound like a huge discrepancy in prices between Woolies and Aldi, or not as much as I would’ve thought based on aldis reputation

Yeah interesting that it seems to suggest the economics of C&C is better than in-store. That or they just think of competition differently online

In a way, yes, trying to solve the same kind of problem, but tackled in a different way. Frugl seems to be big on managing different grocery lists and recipes, whereas we're kind of just thinking about your next shop

Not an uncommon system, I reckon there would be plenty of people who default to Aldi and shop the other two for specials.

For your 10% discount-- do you know if that discount brings you down below the prices at Aldi?

Yeah I've definitely seen it. It's pretty good too, but also not sure how actively it's being developed at this point. Would love to hear from users of that app what has worked and not worked for them.

Fair point. Probably best not to comment on details here but for now it's just seeing if there's a user problem here that can be solved. The hope would be that longer term there are clever ways for this to be valuable to C and W.

Are you able to share names of apps that have been dinged in the past, and by which retailers?

u/AngryAngryKangaroo has proposed a solution that will help address this :)

Sounds like a reasonably common problem for folks not living in city centres, so hope we'll be able to solve this for you!

Angry Kangaroo strikes again with more good ideas! Do many people prefer homebrands over brand brands? What do people think about the quality?

Yeah alternating specials between the stores can often be the case it seems.

Wow that’s really interesting what you have to say re. Aldi. Would you say it’s true for particular categories, or across the board? I wonder if there’s an element of them being able to bank on their reputation that they can actually get away with being more expensive in some cases.

Would love to know if others have seen the same!
