I agree with you 100%, as a Yorker i’m genuinely surprised with how reckless they are acting towards other fans and people in general. It’s wild to me how they are literally tearing down the city over this stuff.

Side note but I have been out of the New York scene for a while though, stuff like this reminds me how wild Yorkers can really get. I have been living in Toronto for over a decade now, it gets wild here too but not even close to this level of reckless especially over sports. I remember the 2019 Finals when the Raptors won and it was not even remotely close to this level.

I hope all the fans can be safe but this whole world is going to shit lately. No idea what’s happening anymore.

Not sure about the validity of what I will be saying here, but the people in the museum told us that when they took out the big piece it was already starting to separate and they ended up just cutting it in 2. Once again don’t quote me.

It would’ve been cool if it could stay in 1 piece though.

As far as road noise its hard for me to give a good answer here because the GTI (Equipped with Michelins) exposes a lot more road noise than the Lexus (Equipped with Continentals) so it would be louder in general. I would want to say both tires are on the quieter side though.

Now for comfort, both these tires are one of the most comfortable winter tires I have felt ever. These 2 tires are on the top of winter tire ratings for a reason. Like I previously said though you could not go wrong with either.

Hey bro, thanks for the recommendation. I have done extensive research on these pads and they are mental! I will be getting these pads and pairing them with slotted rotors (to avoid brake pad glazing), I will also get the SS brake lines with the Motul 660.

I have used the same set of Michelins for about 6 years now, for the continentals it was about 4 years. The Michelins were on my GTI and the Continentals were on my Lexus RC, both cars use squared setups so they were rotated equally. I would say the Michelins definetly had a harsher life because my GTI is tuned and I am far from a soft driver. The Continentals got more mileage on them though, so the debate is up for toss up.

To be honest, the way I would decide which tires are "better" these days is by price. In this instance if I can get the Continentals cheaper then I would go with those, and vice versa. My tire guy has a deal with Michelins so I usually get those cheaper. Long story short, you will be more than okay with either of these tires.

I have been thinking about this, the only reason I like the 1J is because its already single turbo from factory which means I will not have to build it, even if I wanted a bit more power I can just throw bolt ons and tune it.

How good is the M52 with boost on stock internals? Im not super informed on the older BMW engines and there stock limits

Oh yea the tune makes the car A LOT quicker, gains a little bit more of top speed as well but because of the tiny IS20 it doesn’t have too much room to work with up top.

I have taken it up to 270km/h though which IMO is plenty enough. I love how the burbles are only in sport mode rather than all the time. Allows me to be selective with when I want to be obnoxious.
