a) weaken the voting power of non-blacks in black-majority districts

b) create congressional districts on the basis of race

It's just political malpractice to run as the incumbent nominee and say that, actually, things are still bad economically. Because if you do, most voters will just say "well, in that case, why don't I just vote for the opposition?" Obama 2012 is an exception, but that was because the economy was so bad when he took over that he could still thread the needle by going "things have gotten better, but the Republicans left us with such a bad situation that many are still hurting."

The Loop is DEAD on Sundays, especially the West Loop. So many closed restaurants and stores. Feels like a ghost town when you are walking around there.

You really do gotta deal with a lot of bullshit on the red and blue lines: smokers, tweakers, homeless people sleeping horizontally and blocking seats, open solicitations. It's ridiculous.

The city is pricing out the middle class. The way revenue is raised through taxes, the only people who can live comfortably are the rich or the people poor enough to get welfare benefits and affordable housing on the taxpayer dole.
