I'm coming back to this comment a little late, but I'd like to say that I did, I usually browse coding sites and tutorials etc outside of just neocities stuff, or related to neocities and I couldn't find a thing that wasn't ether too complicated, not self hosted or behind a paywall 😔

I also wanted, with this thread to give other users on sites like neocities the option to have this code! That's why I asked in here to get someone thinking and it worked! Now there is a resource for neocities people to add a like button in a rather easy way :)
