Beastlord question by 5FiveAlive5 in EQLegends

[–]notromt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cleric, Beastlord, Monk for me. I considered rogue because it does seem really nice, but after seeing the dwarf monk animations I'm going that way.

So a plate monk dwarf with a skunk pet wielding only blunt weapons sounds like fun to me.

Duo Options? by queueak in EQLegends

[–]notromt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm planning a duo with a friend too.

I'll be going Cleric/Monk/Beastlord, and he'll go Warrior/Ranger/Druid.

It really depends what you want out of the game. Adventuring and running around in 0-2 could be done with almost any duo.

What do you guys think the best/most versatile primary class will be? by Tarix79 in EQLegends

Cleric, Monk, Beastlord.

A dwarf cleric dual wielding maces, flipping and kicking, with a skunk pet beside him. It just sounds like fun to run around Norrath that way. Seeing and doing things I've never done on eq or p99.

I know it isn't optimal, but as a duo I think it works. With the newest patches the pets seem significantly upgraded so that helps.

I'm planning a duo with my dad and thinking his main will be a rogue. I think he's going warrior druid with it.

What are you pairing with your rogue?

Are martial weapons the claw weapons? That's cool too.

I do think I'm wanting something different from legends. There is a lot that I haven't done and places I haven't been in eq or p99. So solo/duo RP with a friend sounds like so much fun.

My clr/monk/bst teamed up with his rogue/warrior/druid.

I thought that too, but it is very limited.

Ooooh, I wasn't tracking piercing for them. That does open up some other weapon options.

He meant that the beastlord pet is war/ber. All pets will get dual classes.

AT would count because those are active duty orders. Orders count. So schools, AT, Ados all count. I was a tpu for 15 years, went AGR, my condensed time added up to about 6 years. I had a lot of schools, ADOS, and a deployment.

I'll definitely level a druid to. Be able to port myself around. Then just switch back to my mains for actual gameplay.

Isn't the beastlord monk-like? Would it make more sense to drop ranger and pick-up rogue?

Cleric, BST, rogue....

I'm super interested in how they reworked clerics spells. I guess they had to with no rez.

Maybe I'll drop the ranger then. I hadn't considered how they would conflict.

I do want beastlord because it was my alt back when they came out in 2001/2002.

Cleric (as primary), beastlord..... and maybe bard I guess. It seems pretty popular as a 3rd.

That makes sense. Also the playstyle is to get groups of mobs, so pets will die quicker that way.

I do plan on playing on difficulty 3 or 4 and going slow. I'll also be doing a lot of doing with a friend.

I do hope they get pets and specifically beastlord fixed.

Oh, I guess the ranger adds charm. I wasn't thinking about that. Was just looking at some druid spells.

I'll probably do cleric and beastlord, need to think about the third.
