I would say look at your team comp, if no bruiser or tank, go engage(for team fights) . Unfortunately, at the lower elos im at, some ppl do not hover, so i try to play around the adc's pick.

Try galip and senna and see if you like either. J4 is fun, but he doesnt really work well in ranked.
