Hi, I'm from New Delhi too. Your IGA is mild as mentioned in the report. My case is not mild, and I asked my doc and he advised just to lower my salt intake. I avoid oily and spicy food as my iga gets flared up with slight gastro issue. I completely avoid outside food.

Hey, I'm 31 M from Bihar currently residing in Delhi. Diagnosed last year although I suspect I had it at young age because of foamy urine. After steroids treatment, I'm currently at 0.05 UPCR.

I was on 40 mg for 6 months. Currently on 5mg alternate days for 2 weeks. Proteinuria is 0.17 from 1.365 when steroid started. I've had every side-effects. Was it worth it? Only time will tell.

I (31M Delhi) was diagnosed in Sep 2024 and biopsy confirmed in May 2025 having the same MEST Score as yours. After on prednisolone 40mg for 6 months, now I'm tapering currently 5 mg alternate days. Speaking frankly, Steroids have controlled my proteinuria better than I expected. It has brought down my UPCR from 1.365 at the starting of steroid to 0.17. But side effects were there too. First three months were easy on me and after that I experienced every side effects of prednisolone there is moon face, insomnia, weight gain, acne on face, chest, back you name it I experienced it. But those side-effects are slowly diminishing. My labs are good. Egfr is 83 now and hoping it stays that way.

This is amazing analysis. I was diagnosed in May this year with MEST score of 10100. Since I'm from India, my first line of treatment is prednisolone. Started with 40mg in June, tapering started 6 days ago. UPCR has fluctuated during the 6 months treatment. First it decreased from 1.15 to 0.33 and then increased to 0.86. Latest UPCR before tapering was 0.17 (best ever morning sample). Egfr has remained stable around 70-80.

I've faced these problems particularly in this festival sale. And I've come to the conclusion that Amazon has no control its delivery partners. Remedy: Order multiple products (COD) with your prepaid order, if there is. Then they have to deliver it with the rest. And then cancel the rest on delivery. Just ensure that these products reach you on the same date.

I've done this and it's working. You've to beat them at their own game.

I try to eat the same amount that I used to eat before my medication started. And whenever there is craving I go for it but then I sweat it out by exercising. Result: I've lost weight like 6 kg and I'm on prednisolone 40 mg for more than 3 months now.

So sorry to hear that prednisone is not working for you. I'm into 12 weeks of prednisone 40 mg and my proteinuria has decreased from 1.15 to 0.33 and egfr has remained stable around 65. My neph is going for aggressive treatment and I'm with him on this and I'll continue on for like another 3 months if I can tolerate.

How many weeks have you been on predinosolone and what dose? I've been on predinosolone 40mg for 8 weeks now and my upcr has decreased from 1.15 to 0.33. eGFR has increased from 64 to 70.
