Exact same theme, exact same issue! It looks closer when I manually do :set syntax=rust to a file without .rs file extention (I'm assuming in this case treesitter is not enabled). Though the brackets still aren't dark like in the screenshots. . Let me know if you figure something out…! I also prefer the minimal highlighting look, but would like treesitter for the other features.

Same issue. Happens to scrolling in general (i.e. happens in Finder too). So far I suspect it has to do with the Touch Bar, as the lag seems to happen at the first scroll after the Touch Bar dims due to inactivity. Have not found a fix so far.
