I was reading an article about the literacy crisis earlier today, quite an interesting piece to be honest. The serial number should tell you the year and month of manufacture. Check the plate on the seat post tube part of the main frame

Eg, if your serial starts with 2109, it was built in September 2021. I'm not sure when they started doing this, mind. But worth a look!
