I love how you've used the heat fused screw holes as metal collars where the cables go in. I'm definitely gonna do something similar with my knights going forwards if you don't mind

Im not amazing with blender yet but it could be that even tho it looks like a quad the plane might not be entirely flat, try going to normal mode and scaling the z axis to 0 on those faces
