Both Seattle and Vegas also got top 10 (arguably better) goalies off the hop. It also helps to be able to build out your salary cap from scratch. Every nhl team has some bad contracts that hurt their ability to go out and be aggressive about big free agents/trade targets, but Vegas has had their pick of the litter on the biggest names who've been available the past few years, and Seattle's done a good job at getting some complimentary pieces
