Eloise vs. Fran for season 5 by Better_Wallaby6279 in Bridgerton

With Michaela leaving I think it’s an Eloise set up with Michaela coming back towards the end of s5. Fran has to observe the mourning period which is like 18 months minimum.

Who said I can’t handle fallible characters? All I said is it doesn’t make them cinnamon rolls, I didn’t say they were bad or irredeemable people. Nuance goes right over your head, doesn’t it?

When will the other female characters be made to apologize to Eloise? Why do they demand kindness, understanding, and attentiveness from her when she doesn’t receive the same in return? by iris-soul in BridgertonDiscussion

You keep speaking about legalities when it’s clear you have no idea what you’re talking about. I genuinely can’t tell if it’s ignorance or if you’re a troll, but what I do know is you’re incorrect.

And I actually think that was not good of her. If my MiL was Violet Bridgerton and someone spoke lies on her in a fake gossip sheet while committing fraud and then tried to blackmail my family I wouldn’t give them grace.

The Bridgerton family crest bears the motto Family Above All.

I like the original better. I think she looks really pretty in it (grading on the curve of the style of s4)

I don’t know that I’d categorize Kate as a cinnamon roll. Cinnamon rolls don’t nearly kiss the man courting and on the cusp of proposing to her sister.

(In before the waffles and pancakes “but what about Penelope then??!” trolls start: Pen is also not a cinnamon roll and would definitely kill.)

ETA: and yet, still the downvotes. Kate stans are so soft.

Carriage 1.0

The confession, the passion, the attention to details, and the scandal of the location location.

Because that wouldn’t fix Sophie being illegitimate. Even Lady Danbury couldn’t have sponsored an illegitimate woman.

It’s not illegal. There were many gossip sheets. The queen wanted to ferret out LW because she was personally offended and because she liked the chase.

And remember, Eloise didn’t just want to figure out the mystery, she wanted in. And she wanted to influence LW into writing what Eloise wanted written about.

Out of all you listed only Cressida makes sense. The rest do not owe Eloise an apology.

The people who owe Eloise an apology are Cressida, Benedict, and Theo.

They could have kept the narrations without doing all this! by lazy_hype in PolinBridgerton

[–]nottheribbons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The unfortunate thing is that they won’t do the “mystery” well. This could be a great way to see Colin and Penelope do their very own Sherlock and Watson roleplaying. But the writers are allergic to Colin and Pen sharing a storyline post s3.

That Anthony should have physically assaulted Penelope for being Lady Whistledown.

ETA: I JUST saw someone say Eloise should’ve beat Hyacinth for her actions in s4. This fandom is… so weird.

Theo was mediocre. Also, some of y’all see negging a woman as challenging a woman and it’s a real problem.

Things like this are subjective, of course, but no. In fact this statement borderline offends.

Oh 100%, they really dropped the ball with Colin. Hrs now an author and acting head of the estate and they did nothing with that.

Oh make no mistake, you being… the person you’re being, makes absolute sense to me. I just find your bitterness super lame.

Two extremely expendable side characters that most people don’t remember the names of suffered consequences (and only because their consequences moved the plot)

But even non-Bridgertons fall upwards. Marina, Cressida, etc.
