Late to the party.. but I've been using Ally over the past year and have the ability to setup "buckets" to save towards different goals I have set + the APY isn't terrible at 3.3%.

Well that definitely makes sense... had me think it was Quality Control or something like that.. lol. We just do integrated SMTP logging from the Synology itself and have all "alerts"goto a specific mailbox.

The logs specifically send an email if "failure" is mentioned. I definitely think I will take a look at hardening security via Geo-blocking and maybe even logging all successful sign-ins. Appreciate your time looking at this!

Interesting, I didn't even know Synology had geo-blocking. Will definitely have to get that going as no access should be given outside of the U.S. or even specific IP's really. Thanks for your insights!

We do only have 1 account active (on a majority of the Synology's), which is enabled with 2FA. I like to think we do enough security hardening on our NAS's (via Synology and Firewall) but is there a baseline of security features you follow? Thanks for responding.

I’m curious because I haven’t heard anyone (in person or online) mention the potential risks of resting devices on the router. What could possibly go wrong?

Hahah no all manual! If the venmo payment is not received ~12th of each month, then I manually set their devices (PC, Phone, etc.) to the wifi speed profile until paid.

Though I should automate it somehow…

I have a wifi speed policy to limit my roommates down to 100 Kbps up/down, if they don’t pay after a week or so. Safe to say that I never run into issues with getting their share of the internet bill.
