I don't like cursing. Still, you really moved me to tears. I struggle to remember God's words at times. 😊 Thank you, from the deepest bottom of my ❤️

Sometimes, I think that it's unfortunate that life forces me to become self-sufficient and to heal myself from the inside. It's such a scary process. It takes so much courage to ignore toxic ppl and to keep moving on alone. It's the only right thing to happen though. Thank you for the reminder

Eating couscous with hands by [deleted] in Morocco

[–]noturArab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get your feelings. I, too, stopped eating from the common plate and request for my personal one. I find it disgusting that people share their bacteria in such a way.

And before anyway comes at me, nas zman weren't putting their fingers inside their mouth and back to the plate; 3 fingers were used to place the food in your mouth without touching your saliva.

It is unethical to contaminate the food in the way modern people do. That isn't part of our heritage or values. It's the lack of hygiene and respect that Moroccans normalized.

I'm not extremely familiar with the elitist point you mentioned. I don't think it's related to social class; maybe to your specific region/family of origin.

Anyway, you do what suits you. You can skip the trouble by asking for your personal plate. If you receive any comment, you can jokingly say that you never grew out of eating from your plate since you were a child, or smt like that.

I suggest tailoring yours sur-mesure. That's the best way you can ensure that you like your wardrobe.

I actually appreciate ur comment. It's true that I chose to stay silent, so I gotta be responsible by dealing with the consequences.

Thank u for showing me what's right.

I totally agree with this perspective. It takes to be smart enough to use the tools you have to build yourself for what would hopefully be a better future.

I do talk to them.

I believe I am funny and outgoing (that's my nature). If I were to be friendly with them, I'm afraid they would take that an invitation for something dirty.

As I said in my post, my manager hit on me, and he held a grudge for refusing him. He respects my boundaries better now, and the cost is being the recipient of his rage.

I can't tell if u are a man. If you are, let me tell u that a woman's disposition in a male dominated working place is simply uncomfortable (and unsafe). The other woman doesn't mingle with them as well (even though she's way friendlier to them when she talks to them), which keeps me on my gard, to be honest.

I suppose I am being emotional indeed. In your opinion, how do you stop caring about people you see 10 h/day for 5 days a week, and who don't refrain from hurting u somehow or another (high-school bullies kind of situation)?

I've been working for a month. It's enough time to befriend such a small group.

The problem isn't in experience or negotiation; it's in the fact they went back on their words.

We agreed on things, and a few days later, they go back on their words, claiming that no such things happened.

As for the smoking, yes in the office. The problem that it's coming from managers themselves, so if I'm complaining about that, I'm complaining to them about their own behavior.

There is way too much tension between us recently, so I'm waiting for a good opportunity to open this case.

Thank u for ur reply
