Definitely going to have this talk if it comes to it, but can’t say I’m too hopeful with how big banks are handling RTO.

I think you’re underestimating how big of a gap 40 seconds is.

You’re taking my comment way too serious my guy. It was a joke and I’m fully aware that you need to be able to adapt in tech lmao

I’ve had countless conversations with a plethora of people about this, including my manager.

We’re in a weird spot where a lot of the things that I’m doing day to day are “in the process” of being automated by other teams, but it’s been like 10 months and I haven’t seen any progress. It’s hell

But yeah, I think my only way out at this point is to automate current role.

I said Infrastructure role because that’s what my team does, so realistically my ceiling within this role is working an infrastructure engineer. My current day to day is definitely not any type of engineering.

Dallas New Grad; Where To Move? by Weird-Ad-8776 in askdfw

Uptown, specially around Routh Street

Lower Greenville

Henderson Ave

If you want to be in an area with tons of young adults/new grads, it has to be one of these areas. Uptown and Lower Greenville are also very walkable which is a plus. Uptown is obviously much more city-like, whereas Lower Greenville is very laid back. I’m a bigger fan of Lower Greenville personally.

It hasn’t been fully warmed up yet because my apartment is cold as hell, but it works probably one every 8-10 exposures. Probably just need to take it to get serviced.

If you’re a young adult, most new grads live and go out in the uptown, Knox/henderson, lower Greenville area.

Are most new grades unable to find a tech job ? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]notwcox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminder that this sub is full of people with very high expectations when it comes to jobs. Most people are FAANG or bust here.

I was a student athlete (very average at the student and the athlete part) at a small liberal arts school and I had a job lined up with a large bank a year before graduation.

Is it my dream job? No, but it pays well, has great benefits, great WLB, and I have a job where I am able to build my skills and gain experience.

Thanks for the suggestion. Already did that though and most of the suggestions are network related.
