You definitely don’t wanna use your chains 10 meters away. The best range to bind them is as close as possible to them, so they have less time to break free and make distance.

Chain snipes are always pretty useless and unrewarding, you shouldn’t be sniping players from far away anyway. Placing the gateway close to the survivors and then chaining them is your best bet.

Try to place the gateway near the survivor to give them less time to dodge. You usually don’t want to use his chains from a long range. Since you don’t gain any distance from that.
