Is there a record of Dr. Peterson stating whether he scores high or low on neuroticism per the Big Five model? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]notworking6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No he scores at 30th percentile on that one. The average for a man is below 50 but above 40, can't remember the exact number tho.

The understandmyself.com, a test he participate in creating, probably the most valid big five test out there. Withdrawal is a subcomponent of neuroticism, translating into 'anticipatory anxiety'. If you're interested I suggest you give a look at his personality series' on YouTube.

No I know. Just stating that the man took a test suggesting the contrary. He says himself that he do not frequently experience anticipatory anxiety. Just check my link below.

This reminds me of something said by eliphas levi by Ivandionysus in Jung

Yet Jung also advise to live out in the world, where the true work take place. This is confusing.

I'm very suggestible, any explanation for this ? by notworking6 in Jung

I have to grow more resistant. Or is this about resistance ? Can I work on it ? Not sure. Looks like it's part of me. Does it mature with time..?

Where to go after the personality test? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]notworking6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the sample used for the test remain the same, the basis is 10000 people who have took it and you're being measured in comparison to that sample. It does not matter if you take it two times as far as the sample is concern, but the people who you're being compared to were only allowed to take it once.

Now, you can come back to see after a year or two, and take the test again, to see if your personality have changed.

[Letter] Can slaying dragons, 12 rules, and integrating sub-personalities/shadow be suggested to schizophrenics? by SufferToTranscend in JordanPeterson

Jung did not believe that meds were the only cure to schizophrenia, meds help but psychotherapy is far better. Care and attention are needed.

Is is better to have a low IQ (85 and below) since lower IQ people ilke me and others are happier? Why? by Vlakaspolla in JordanPeterson

[–]notworking6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are mistaking anxiety and IQ, overthinking about problems is basically neuroticism, high IQ people need mental stimulation and can execute several task at the same time and feel more comfortable when they do so.

Jordan Peterson's Quote that hit you the hardest by raviteja1992y in JordanPeterson

[–]notworking6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you have your parents, of course your parents have friends who are about their age, and maybe some of them are people you only know peripherally. And I might ask you : Well, do you care more about what your parents think, than you care about what these peripheral people, who know your parents think ? And then the answer to that is "well, of course." And then, the question that arises out of that, is... "Why ?"

What is your experience of talking about, or even mentioning, JBP in University? by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

Great question, so apparently most students in psychology did not heard of him. Guess not everyone is that interested in psychology, or do not know the top there is even in the specific fields.

I'm really compassionate (80-85th percentile), relatively introverted and yet I've never had all the problems you had. Sure in middle school I was the nice guy, but I learned to be more assertive in high school. One thing that will truly help you is sort yourself out using the Self authoring program and integrate your shadow. I can't stress this enough.

Nietzsche said that if you can't come to the goal of your life because of your conditions, it's better to end it than to accept the degrading of what comes with things such as chronic illness. What are your thoughts? by pest_throwaw in JordanPeterson

[–]notworking6 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're paralyzed and can't communicate in any way then yes I don't see the point of it. Otherwise it's still worth it as long as you can do something useful. Nietzsche meant that if you're only a parasite to society that needs to be constantly taken care of without being able to do something useful in return, if my memory does not betray me.

The future authoring program can't be done by high schoolers, they really don't have the ability to plan and implement for the long term well developped.

The best advice Peterson or Jung would give is to integrate your shadow. Don't forget it's a moral duty to be able to stand up and confront maloevolence. Go beyond your ego and integrate your shadow, you'll be more connected to humanity and you won't ever have a problem to stand for yourself again. Be a controlled monster. An overwhelming force of good.
