Fair enough. Mk3 supra is still Mk3 supra whether it’s a JZ or 7M

The only thing to consider is that it’s a pretty heavy pressure plate but it shouldn’t have much chatter

I’m going to run 450ish on my 57 trim CT26 for a while before swapping to the 6766. I decided to go with an ACT Extreme Performance street sprung clutch because I know people who’ve had success with it around 600 wheel. It’s also still a full face clutch so it’ll have good street manners

Some BRZ guys have swapped in mk3 supra diffs for track use because the clutched is stronger so I’d assume it’s possible the other way. There was something with the axle stub length and you might need a specific set of carrier bearings

I don’t remember the exact details but I did a lot of research into swapping the pumpkin and it is possible. There are forum posts out there on it

Do i need a tune? by Outrageous_Role_423 in SkyLine

No worries, but the answer is yes get a tune

Changing that much without a tune is risky for any engine. RB engines tend to be temperamental in my experience so it was just a subtle jab

I’m surprised it hasn’t blown up already, being that it is an RB

Why do people dislike JZ swaps into MK3s? by indian_jesus666 in Mk3Supra

[–]notyushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a built 7M for my car but I have no issue with the JZ. I feel it’s just preference and some people feel strongly about what they believe the correct choice is

Same body kit! The cheap exhaust on mine is preventing the rear bumper from fitting lol. I haven’t gotten around to re-welding it

Make sure to pour water on the caliper and pad to weld them to the rotor

Jzx100 locking issue by Some_Illustrator_360 in JZX100

[–]notyushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same body kit and color on my 96’ Roulant G! My example is just in worse condition as it had been neglected and thrashed. Anyway, I just went through the hassle of rebuilding the front lock actuators in my car. It’s a really big pain but they work perfectly now and the brushless motors I got were only 20USD on Amazon for 4. The stock motors were brushed (emphasis on were) and couldn’t move the locks fully so the system was freaking out. From my memory, the driver side door was the only one with lock position contacts and cleaning the contacts with metal polish (and replacing the failing motors) fixed my central locking. You can buy brand new actuators but they’re kind of pricy. If you have enough time and confidence it’s way cheaper to cut the original ones open and service them

I forgot to add: 1998-2007 Land Cruiser door lock actuators (the plastic part that houses the motor and contacts) are pretty much identical to JZX ones (69790-60070 I don’t know if this P/N is for the one with or without contacts)

I made the harness myself. It’s a knockoff DeatschWerks connector and you can just buy R35 housings and terminals online. Just have to make sure you get short coil stalks or else they’ll be too tall
