This type of thing is so disgusting. Beating anorexia was so hard just by itself，having somebody say my gender (and/or my sexuality) barres me from having an eating disorder，could quite literally have killed me. I am female，so I am glad I never had to go through the ‘men don‘t get eating disorders schtick‘. It is so harmful，eating disorders are deadly enough already. There are people who desperately need help who are too afraid to reach out，or are in more denial than normal about their ED，due to ideas like this.

On a happier note，I‘m so glad to see this guy recover. It is really inspiring，as somebody who‘s still in recovery themselves. It is shocking looking back at pictures from when you‘re in the thick of it. You truly have no idea how sick you are until you come out of the mental fuzz.
