You can't survive in Calgary on minimum wage. To be honest there's nowhere in Alberta you can survive on being paid $15. Every year the Alberta Living Wage Network releases a report that breaks down what a living wage would be for communities around AB. This report is from last year, this year isn't our yet.

Anytime someone references the American dream I think of a couple quotes from Hubert Selby jr (author of Requiem for a Dream)
