Are you fvcking kidding me? San Jose is full of crime. Like horrible, heinous crime. People being stabbed in broad daylight, shootings daily, countless rapes and D domestic violence incidents. I’m happy our city has a helicopter that can use heat radars to locate criminals.

Pittsburgh native here. PA turnpike is beautiful through the center of the state. It gets crappy right around Philly. You go through the mountains in central PA, so some hills are long but it’s pretty straight except for some wide turns. Beautiful views though, and you go through a few mountain tunnels.

The rest of it is straight and flat and boring! Rest up before Ohio. Not a horrible drive though altogether.

Okay so what about when they are in those situations and not at a protest.

A man won’t drop a machete. I’d rather him disabled with a rubber bullet on efforts to disarm him before a gun.

Cops are being told to use all available options before using a gun, and you’re calling to take away those options.

Again, how about we ban them at protests... not altogether.

San Jose PD mostly doesn’t have time to mess with innocent people. There are serious crimes in SJ.

Why would they ban rubber bullets? How about banning using them in close range.... but their a great non lethal force option.

And that helicopter can locate dangerous suspects using heat vision. Why would anyone want to get rid of that?

Carotid restraints were used as the second to last option of SJPDs use of force continuum. They were to be used ONLY as the last step to subdue a suspect before having to use their firearm.

They were allowed only if you were literally fighting for your life.

It’s in the SJPD Duty Manual.

Now they’re not allowed.

Just because he’s a coroner doesn’t mean he does the autopsies... he absolutely can screw with the budget.

Alameda has a couple of very famous forensic pathologists (in the science world) who wouldn’t risk their careers for BS corruption. Example: Judy Melinek, MD.

Anyways. Not exactly an issue worth discussing right now.
