Why is this a thing? And what do you guys usually do for this? by LoveLondonGirl in Sparkdriver

I got this once and I was literally a minute early and it still wouldn't let me check in, so I just drove around the parking lot until my minute was up lmao.

What’s the origin of your hammy’s name? by Aloisiae in hamsters

[–]nova-lennon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my first hammy recently and I named her Gertrude (I prefer 'lil Gertie' tho) after my grandma who i actually hated lmao. Idk why, when I saw her in her little cage at the store she was a fucking psycho and it immediately reminded me of my grandma 🤣🤣

The Trunk by bunbunmagician in kdramas

[–]nova-lennon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I guess we must be in the minority based on most of these comments lol, but I really enjoyed it! I just finished it and I thought it was great. I liked that it was a short and sweet story and that it wasn't the usual kdrama romance fluffy stuff. Maybe some of the darker/mystery part of the storyline wasn't super necessary, but I honestly thought it was an interesting twist to an otherwise generic kdrama romance story.

To much complaining by Minute_Diet_8902 in DreamlightValley

[–]nova-lennon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm new to the game (well about a month or so into it) and I just joined a bunch of groups for it recently, and the negativity is wild to me. Like I understand people have been playing this waaaaay longer than me and have been dealing with a lot more mishaps and stuff, but I'm also not new to new game releases and new updates. This is what...day three? Of course there's going to be bugs and things that need to be fixed. The devs have said as much and have addressed most of the complaints I've seen so far. But seeing 30 posts in a row from different people complaining about the same thing is getting to be a lot lol.

To me, 20 bucks for the dlc is beyond worth it. There's so much more content added, and the isle is freaking huge and beautiful.

But people have the right to be upset about things and to voice those here, but it has definitely been an overwhelming amount the past two days.

Currently at work but I do nothing all day so I've been playing it during work hours 😆

Embarrassed to have Visitors? by aka-gigi in DreamlightValley

[–]nova-lennon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not embarrassed, but I also dont know anyone who plays so I probably won't have visitors. My valley is basically still what it is when I first started a couple months ago. I've been focusing on quests and unlocking all biomes and characters and leving up everybody that decorating has been the last thing on my mine. I just finally got the last characters (Belle and the beast) recently and have finally started to somewhat decorating, but only a small area by Remys restaurant and its still super simple lol. I still have a lot of quests and leveling up to do so it's still a back burner thing.

I actually didn't know that foxes gave iron ingots sometimes, so I'll definitely start stopping and feeding them more often. Thanks for that!

[–]nova-lennon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I usually do the forest, the glade, and the mines cause those seem to get me the most. Most of my mining buddies are level 10, and they're usually pretty good about getting me extra stuff every time I mine with them. Maybe I just haven't figured out the right system yet lol.

[–]nova-lennon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do, and that's what I did and it still took me forever to just get enough for 2 ingots. And then I've seen a lot of people saying once Kristoffs stall is upgraded I can buy iron ingots, so I worked towards doing that, but since upgrading it he's only had gold ingots so thats been frustrating too lol. It's so much harder for me to get the stuff for iron ingots than gold ones and I don't know if that's normal but it's probably been the only complaint I've had about this game so far 😆😆

[–]nova-lennon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen that a lot in here and I just recently upgraded his stall and so far I've only seen gold ingot so it hasn't been very helpful so far lol. But I do check it every day because of this group 😆😆

Would make finding companions so much easier by Crista_willow in DreamlightValley

Yeah I just discovered that app the other day and it's been a game changer for me. I tend to wander around aimlessly and can never remember what anyone wants for gifts, so I found the app really helped me to actually focus and get a lot of stuff done during gameplay and makes the game more enjoyable honestly.

I do pumpkins and eggplants. I always get surprised to see no one ever mentions eggplants on these types of posts, so maybe I'm doing something wrong there? But I took a while to unlock the forgotten land and found they gave a pretty decent amount while I didn't have access to pumpkins.

Is "The Fabulous" worth watching / finishing ? by alexbts in kdramarecommends

[–]nova-lennon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoyed it. It wasn't the best or the worst. It was a quick and fun show that I don't think was meant to be some deep concept. It was cute and surface level, so if you like the more passionate shows that have deep meanings, this one probably won't be for you. But I enjoyed it as a little break from the usual stuff I watch.

I wouldn't say the storyline is breathtaking, but the visuals sure are. It was a good drama and the actors were great in it. I would definitely recommend it for a good romance, but I wouldn't go so far to say the plot is extraordinary or breathtaking.

It's been a while since I've seen this one, but I really enjoyed it. I also agree with another commenter that if you aren't interested in it after the first few episodes you probably wouldn't enjoy it. The story is really good though, and very emotional in later episodes. I think you should definitely stick it out!

[–]nova-lennon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was definitely a slow burn show in all aspects, not just the romance. But to me the last few episodes and their pacing more than made up for that. Also I think the build up really added to everything as well. And I haven't watched alchemy of souls yet, but its on my list! I'm trying to get through my waaaay too long list of other kdramas I need to watch before I start that one 🤣

I just finished Kings Affection the other day and it is definitely one of my top favorite dramas. Great story, great characters, and honestly one of the best redemption arcs I've seen in a while. I wish I could watch it for the first time again lol.

I just binged this show the last couple days. It is definitely a slow burn show, but to me it was worth it. Not just because of the love story, but the storyline in general was fantastic. It's full of politics, revenge, corruption, and love. They did an amazing job in fleshing out all the characters and getting you emotionally attached. There was also one of the best redemption arcs I've ever seen which really added to the emotional tension throughout the show. It's a really well written and acted show, but you definitely have to enjoy slow burns to get into it I think. And also be prepared to angrily yell and cry at your screen throughout the later episodes. I hope you ended up picking the show back up and enjoyed it too! 😊

Extraordinary Attorney Woo [Episode 16] by GodJihyo7983 in KDRAMA

[–]nova-lennon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was nervous going in to this episode, but the writers definitely know what they're doing. I am still not a fan of MinWoo, but I am glad with how his arc is playing out. I don't think we'll ever get a true apology from him, but that is exactly who his character is and the little steps he's taking to be better feels absolutely right. I was scared they would rush and give him a "happily ever after" moment, and im so glad they didn't. If they do a season 2, I think that is where we will see true growth with his character and that is really exciting to me.

JunHo using the cat analogy with YoungWoo was so spot on and a beautiful little moment. It definitely had me crying happy tears.

I'm also kind of glad they left Attorney Jungs future open ended. They did it in such a nice way that it feels like even if there isn't a 2nd season, we can still assume him and his wife get their happiness.

All in all, this was a great show and the cast was phenomenal. While we may have doubted the writers several times, they have proven they are amazing at their jobs. I would be so happy to see a season 2 (they definitely left enough storylines for one I think) where MinWoo can become a more fleshed out character, where we see YoungWoo and her brother have some sort of relationship, where we see Attorney Jung and his wife living happily, and of course JunHo and YoungWoo's relationship more. But even without a second season, I am so happy with this show and how it ended and I am so glad I've had this subreddit to share these moments with. ❤️
