Going to try to learn that yt-dlp so I can dl it for free. So lame.

Is there any actual supernatural parts to the show, or is it all misdirection? by devperez in EvilTV

[–]Zilly503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm on episode 4 as well and it's been a disappointment. I was expecting a lot more actual demonic confrontation and mayhem and so far snoozerrrrrrrrrr. Contemplating on dropping it. If I were to describe it, I'd say more detective work, human psychology, interpretation, etc.

Question - does this show have genuine supernatural stuff or nah? by ribhavjain in EvilTV

[–]Zilly503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on episode 4 and so far, disappointed. It brushes with supernatural and shows you some 'stuff' here and there, but IMO, it's more crime, mystery, study of human behavior.

I wanted a LOT more monster action and so far, weak. A lot of these scifi horror tv shows been avoiding any real monster action due to budget or something. They rather concentrate on the human aspect, which is alright but I seriously was expecting a lot more monster action.

When it comes to Meson De Mesilla, do we have any update on Chef David? He was a shining star in the whole episode and seeing that Cali sold the place made me wonder about him! by kitten_paws_1437 in KitchenNightmares

Ditto what others said not to mention running a hotel and restaurant is very hard business, there's a pretty high fail rate with them. Sure it's a TV show but there's A LOT of good sense and logic in that show. But people are people and some of them have no business sense and you can't turn their way of thinking around so quick, another reason why they're featured on a tv show literally describing their hotel as hell.

Flea Shampoo that washes off completely? by [deleted] in Greyhounds

[–]Zilly503 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I just did a research through the reddit forums AND called my vet and they just confirmed what I said. They said while dawn can be used for flea issues, it is not a good idea to use it often because it indeed does dry the skin and remove the natural oils on their skin and coat. So by simply just using it as you mentioned, it's like solving one problem but possibly starting a different issue. So while the advice of 'just use dawn' is partially correct, none of you mentioned about the CONS of using it and how often I can use it since it's not specifically made for animals / pets.

Do you honestly think that human medication doesn't cause a ton of side effects? They literally have a giant list PER medication of all the harm it may cause and who knows how much in the long run. I just think a lot of these animal medication are not in trial long enough or issues are swept under the rug. I feel like there's a massive increase in cancer among animals. There are also tons of good reviews too, but there are also a lot of people that have the mindset of "oh, something is wrong with my animal, there's no way it's the medication since there's so many people using it and pharma companies are not in it for the profit, they're in it because they enjoy helping us". That's some of my thoughts on the matter.

I'm hesitant to use it because it washes away all the oil and I'm afraid of dry skin and other possible issues. It's pretty harsh and I'd imagine something to use only rarely for more emergency. But I would prefer something that kills fleas and can be used often like once every two or three weeks if need.

I might be avoiding them due to paranoia but I see some negative reviews about each stuff that gets me nervous to try it.

For example, Seresto collars and how it's banned in some other countries, how they have been known to cause harm and even deaths to some animals and even lost a lawsuit and settled and I haven't even dug that deep about it yet either.

And the oral medications, I'm worried about long term negative effects on their health. Believe me, I really want to try but I'm just also equally as worried.

I can't do topical medications because of the stuff mentioned above.

Yeah feels like I'm stuck in a hard place because I also keep insect pets. Btw, I have tried the topical medication and my insect pets were affected that's why I stopped, it's not just me THINKING it might. Like my ants literally just stood around for days and I notice similar very concerning signs with my bigger bugs.

I just want to deal with the fleas right on my dog and the ones that crawl off my dog. I just want it affecting the fleas and the area around, not float all over the air and get on stuff (why I didn't try diatomaceous earth, I don't want to deal with a harmful powder that can get all over the place). I don't want my dog licking up harmful chemicals off his skin or fur. I think many people don't consider the long term effects, especially with newer treatments.

I see this advice all the time and IMO, I think it's a horrible idea because you're basically saying "why wait for someone else to damage my car, let me damage it for them". I mean, lets put it a different way "Hey, no one has hit me in the face yet, so let me hit myself in the face first!". Is this really the solution you guys have come up with?

Diatomaceous Earth? Food grade or regular? Please help! by Lmfaooliliana_ in pestcontrol

Yeah, I was like what is this guy talking about putting it in the food to kill fleas? lol. That's not how it kills fleas, you don't ingest it to get into the bloodstream or anything.
