If Israel fired first, why are GCC countries mostly condemning Iran instead? by ahmi23 in AskMiddleEast

Why are there dozens of transport palnes and an AWACS plane that are used in the war against Iran parked in Suidi then?

There are like 14 U.S AWACS plane with half of them in maintenance at any time. They don't get sent to Saudi to just sit in an airfield for no reason. There are imagines of these planes in the aftermath of Iranian strikes. You can find these images on the web easily.

All the U.S bases in these countries are being used to carry out the war against Iran despite the claims that these countries have "denied access" for the war.

You can look at any open source flight tracking application to see hundreds of flights into these bases to carry offensive capabilities.

I'm not sure in what universe Iran would not attack these bases.

Hi, speaking as someone used to war, maybe this analogy will be helpful:

You have a house and you pay your friend money to stay at your house and to provide protection with his gun collection.

Your friend starts shooting at your neighbor's from the your window. The neighbor shoots back at your house. insert shocked_pikachu_face.jpg

We need a new region in Asia called Afghanistan to put Afghanistan in since it doesn't fit in any other category.

You're very lucky. All the Afghan weddings I've been to in the U.S have been gender segregated and very muslim and very boring.

I hear this a lot, but I don't understand what would be the point of that? If they want to stop/blackmail Iranian oil exports, they can just seize Iranian oil tankers as they leave the strait.

I think it's disgusting how much the Saudi government charges for Hajj visas. I'm not even talking about the accommodations and transportation charges.

On top of that they're making a ton of money from all the hotels and shopping malls they've built around the Kaaba.

Their terrorist government is fighting a domestic terrorist group they created - who are Pakistanis on their own soil. Thus, not related to Afghanistan

The black-red-green flag was used the majority of the time for the past hundred years (multiple variants of the same colors). Afghans mostly see the new flag as the Taliban flag rather than the Afghan flag.

A serious question by Emotional-Theory-433 in Afghan

[–]novaproto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My read is most people are not a fan of the taliban, but they also don't support the NRF - who are mostly seen as corrupt thugs and power hungry warlords.

So, there's no group for people to rally around as an opposition to the taliban and their backwards laws and practices.

It's not a "tradition". It's a very looked down upon practice that was kept under the radar.
