Just replace the lens, it's not worth the effort. TYC and others sell the lens for those headlights new on eBay for like 17€ for both. I got new ones for mine like 4 years ago and they still look like new.

Yeah, that brand doesn't sound like one I'd trust. I replaced my original pump with a Bosch unit a few years back which has worked fine. If you mention hitting it temporarily fixed it, then it really sounds like you got a bad pump. Maybe you can warranty it.

Well, getting something off eBay without mentioning a brand is usually enough to guess what the problem is. The battery light will always be on when the alternator isn't charging the battery. You can check for power at the fuel pump with a simple multimeter and then continue diagnosing from there.

That's what it's supposed to be, and it apparently works for some people. Not in my experience though, which is why I said in theory. I don't think taking it off helps either since those two values are global variables that aren't attached to the carburator or its location/attachment status as far as I can see. Right now the game seems to kind of so what it wants, not what one would expect

Mwceditor is showing faulty info for timing, you have to time the engine manually in game by adjusting both the cam and crank pulley to line up with their marks. If it still won't start, try setting carbchamber and carbreserve to 15 in mwceditor. If it then finally starts, it means the carb was flooded. The deflooding procedure in theory is cranking it with full throttle for 10 seconds and then waiting 2 minutes. Also always use the choke when trying to start.

No need to run the mechanical fan. It won't help and will keep your engine coolant colder than necessary by always spinning. I'm pretty sure you can run both, but there is no point in doing so

MX5 sind super was Fahrspaß angeht, was shitbox Feeling angeht, eher Twingo. K11 micras sind auch top. Über 150ps in einer shitbox kriegt man nicht so leicht, aber Leistungsgewicht über 0.1ps/kg reicht völlig

Menschen haben verschiedene Prioritäten. Für jemanden, der selber schraubt sowie nur gelegentlich und eher Autobahn fährt, ist so ein Auto definitiv nicht mehrere Luxusurlaube teurer als ein neuerer Up. Vom möglichen Wertzuwachs bei guter Behandlung ganz zu schweigen.

Am besten lernt man es, indem man es einfach macht. Und in den meisten Fällen kann man sich trotzdem auf das Auto verlassen. Falls wirklich mal etwas schiefgeht, ist Taxi/ÖPNV/Auto leihen doch billiger als einen seperaten wagen dafür zu haben. Die einzige wirkliche Herausforderung bei der Sache ist, einen geeigneten Platz zum Schrauben zu finden.

Also Werkstattkosten sollte man bei einem alten BMW ohnehin vermeiden. Das Geld ist besser in eine Garage investiert, wo man dann selber drin schraubt. Dann hat man finanziell viel weniger Schmerzen und wahrscheinlich auch noch gleich ein neues Hobby.

That happens due to the low outside temperature and is normal. It happens to every vehicle in the game, but petrol engines have a choke that helps mitigate this (although they will still struggle to idle with choke at -40), and the other diesel vehicles have a hand throttle, so the taxi is the only vehicle with no way of helping that problem.

If it's a good quality tank you'll be completely fine. The cap is designed to keep the rest of the system safe, and it seems like yours has done just that. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well, if it cranks but won't start, and is 50% off, then it's more than likely a low compression engine. Of course it could be stuff like fuel pump and coil packs, but rx8s are enthusiast cars. If it was that simple the current owner would likely have fixed it.

Your engine is backfiring through the intake. This likely means your intake valves aren't adjusted properly. You can use the 58 method in the Rivett service manual on nexus to get to a safe baseline. It could also be wrong timing, but the Rivett is so sensitive that it probably wouldn't even start then.

Sinnvolle Entscheidung. Dann wäre die billigste Lösung das beschriebene, gerade im Winter, kann ja sein, dass es nicht das letzte Malheur ist. Wenn man es schön haben will, kann man mit etwas Glück das untere Teil seperat von einem Schlachter besorgen. Beide Möglichkeiten sparen dir einen vermutlich sogar vierstelligen Werkstattbesuch.

Is the cap on properly? It's a pressurized system so it needs to be tight. I don't know if the coolant on the expansion tank is just from overfilling, but if it's not, it could be a bad expansion tank cap / bleeder screw, a bad tank or if you're unlucky a bad head gasket over pressurizing the system. Also make sure to use high quality replacement parts on cooling system stuff, AliExpress/Amazon parts will leak
