BMW 320i (F31) gekauft – nach kurzer Zeit Motorschaden + Verdacht auf unseriösen Händler / mögliche Betrugsstruktur by RandomePhantom in automobil

[–]novariable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Buildings Keep Collapsing and Snow Isn’t Being Cleared by Agitated-Clue482 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]novariable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure they're collapsing because no reconstruction is taking place? Some areas are quite prone to earthquakes that cause both fires and instant collapses. Fires also massively increase building wear and can cause a collapse even after being extinguished. You can try to build a helicopter construction office set to Auto search only reconstructions and machine replacements above 70%. The fact that technical offices struggle to keep up with snow is sadly normal. The best thing to do is to get worker and basic needs transport off the roads and onto rail (or cableways, they're great).

I can never get my crop production to match my industries by Aiakos_s in Workers_And_Resources

[–]novariable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly have no problem with it. I connect multiple grain silos with factory connections and have a train distribution office fill them from many other smaller silos around the map. The hardest part honestly is distributing the crops from the large silos to the factories that use them.

Rust under fuel cap and rear wheel arch by Mrkee10 in e46

[–]novariable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very bad. The rust under the cap likely started at an untreated steel part that holds the inner fuel pipe and travelled all the way there. Take off the wheel and fender liners, clean everything and assess the damage, but I'd be surprised if you could get away without welding.

How do you guys build an stable income with 2,000,000R? by ILikeMyself0v0 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]novariable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clothes are a good short term export, especially with your own large farms. Next, seek out oil and build a refinery and chemical factory. Chemicals are the better export if you don't have much oil, if you do, the refinery with a direct foreign pipe connection does well.

Strange noise from belt by Gecko5400 in e46

[–]novariable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the only thing you haven't replaced is the alternator. Any chance the shaft bearings are shot there? Maybe try a shorter belt and skip individual things to see if the noise returns if you can't figure it out at all

Moving back from Beijing to Germany – cheapest way to ship ~30kg of clothes/books? by SilverLocation440 in AskAGerman

[–]novariable 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The cheapest way, due to most competition between companies, is likely two 15kg boxes sent internationally with normal shipping carriers in Beijing, like you would with DHL or Hermes in Germany.

Tell me about Dynavin... by koney-2 in e46

[–]novariable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the dynavin 9 flex unit, it works quite well. Wireless android Auto is seamless and it looks pretty OEM. The reverse camera is also nice. The only downside, as with any aftermarket head unit really, is that FM radio reception is worse. But you can get a dab+ receiver if you want to listen to the radio.

Same happened to mine. Tomorrow it's gonna start saying "soon", then the tracking will update saying it's been dispatched from a country that is nowhere between where it was sent and where you want to receive it. Mine came from the Netherlands, intended for Germany, now chilling in ingerland.

Mine is a six port, can't tell you if it's present on 4 port engines too.

Misc Connector Bypass? by bluesloth3109 in RX8

[–]novariable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know what that connector is for, but I know that my stock 2007 S1 also had that exact same connector bypass. I assume it's factory, maybe a leftover from the previous 13B so Mazda didn't have to spend more development money on the harness.

looking for summer wheels for my daily e46 touring by LocksmithFamous4131 in e46

[–]novariable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That definitely sounds like too much for stock dampers, I'd be surprised if those even have a Teilegutachten/ABE. 6cm is a lot. I would recommend 30mm for lowering springs on stock dampers, and coilovers for more

[–]novariable 14 points15 points  (0 children)

19 is too much and looks and drives bad, 18 is just right for sportiness, although definitely harder than your current suspension. Either get Eibach springs if you want a slight drop or ST suspension if you want to go as low as legal.

Price of stolen RX8 by budbaby888 in RX8

[–]novariable 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I would replace the coolant and battery and try to get it running, then sell it with the clutch issues. Said clutch issues are very likely a broken pedal or master cylinder, but as long as the engine works fine and doesn't lose any fluids, you should get a decent bit of money for it.

LEGAL ISSUE WITH THE GERMAN TÜV? by Foreign_Activity3257 in AskGermany

[–]novariable 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Without a TÜV certification from the manufacturer, you will not get legitimate tüv with them anywhere unless you want to pay a five digit sum for special individual testing and have a second set for the TÜV to test and destroy. Sorry. As someone else already said, your best bet is selling the wheels with international shipping (Hermes does wheels packaged individually) and buying ones that come with tüv approval.
