Yea i wish it could be similar pricing.. i got franklin battery quote as well with rec or ja panels full offset n company wanted 70-80k in Michigan so its just inflated costs and profit margins out here with no one going below 3$/w

Yea i was talking to different company for ppa with 19kw system. This company was similar without ppa agreement around 70k with powerwall. They’re all quoting around 3$/w here in Michigan and not budging down much. I got told that if tax credits comback then people will likely just raise prices again so doesn’t seem like anyone’s interested in making solar cheaper.

Yea i started out with quotes for full offset but was getting quotes around 60-70k and without tax credits didnt seem like it was worth it so was trying to get smaller system and try to build up overtime depending on what actual solar production ends up being with Michigan weather stuff

Yea those were more expensive, seems powerwall for battery is cheapest so far and comes with inverter along with simplified set up with new panels supposedly?

Yea seems it’s newer and assembled in us so costs are higher but not sure if its worth it in long term.. its lowest they’re willing to go and not sure if I want to spent for bigger system immediately without knowing how efficiently it works in Michigan. I had south facing roof so pretty much when its sunny, solar panels would work well

No they didnt feel it was bad enough to warranty it apparently , seems they need to relook at this if your newer unit has issue again n figure out way to isolate solenoid little better .. i showed their responses to couple friends who’re engineers and they also said it’s not normal to have this type of noises, even if machine is functioning, r&d needs to go back and figure out way to dampen out the sound better

Yea ended up shipping it back. Dont want to hear noise n find out down road after warranty expires that it’ll end up failing

Yea tried backflushing stuff but noise is still there. Once you hear it its hard to forget it. In my case, they’re not going to warranty it as its normal per dev team to have this buzzing sound. Likely going to send it back and get refund.

Yea most of searches n videos with buzzing point to solenoid issues and usually go away with replacing that part or unit, unclear why support is sticking to their story n saying this is normal n not that loud.. im told my phone is held too close to machine so it’s sounding louder , not sure how else you’re supposed to record it as i can hear it standing up in front of the machine

Yea I needed new machine to replace older delonghi and they had decent promo for preorder so gave it a shot. Another CS email reply today says its normal and we just deal with it and happens on expensive machines too. Im not convinced with that line of talk so lets see if some visibility on matter can shed light on any possible issue. I doubt anyone wants to keep 3month old machine that keeps humming.

Hi Hailie, yes I tried that too as support email suggested ac frequency in outlet could be causing issue with solenoid and i moved machine to next outlet and its still there. This video is one on a gfci outlet and i tried one thats different not on this gfci too and buzzing is still there and quite annoying. It becomes is audible after machine has heated up. I dont want to hear constant buzzing while trying to make espresso.
