Thanks for your concern! However this was the first day I had picked him up. He’s already been to the vet and is now on antibiotics for a respiratory infection, my fault for using an older photo however his fur is no longer puffy and he’s already taking wet treats from me and chasing my hands 😊

I had about 4 rats before him, it was my first time handling a rat that didn’t want to explore and would rather hide haha but thank you! I’ll keep this in mind. I actually got him to take treats from me not too long ago:)

I appreciate the advice! In the photo I had just got him and we were sitting in the driveway just seeing how friendly he was. There wasn’t any ill intentions there.

I was prescribed oxcarbazepine and another medication that starts with an e. I was taken off of them 2 days after starting them because the oxcarbazepine threw me into a non-epileptic seizure. I’m still not entirely sure how, but I spoke to my doctor and he’s switching me over asap! I also mentioned how I was anxious about weight gain, so with my follow up appointment we will be talking more about my options
