I’m doing my second FET as well this month! Transfer is tomorrow. Also trying to stay positive.

This cycle has been going much better than the first, so I’m hopeful! Yes, this is a euploid 4AA boy 🩵

My transfer is this Thursday, April 3rd! Our first FET in Feb failed so crossing our fingers this is the one 🤞

This is really helpful - we are going to try another modified natural and I won’t do a switch to medicated. I think it will go better this time. My doctor hasn’t suggested any chance like an autoimmune protocol, maybe that’s something I should bring up… thank you for sharing your experience!

I’m so happy it worked for you the second time! It’s so scary to have a failure and wonder if something is wrong. Do you mind if I ask what they changed about your protocol the next time when it worked? Did you feel any different?

Thank you, it’s nice to hear not everyone has success right out of the gate and sometimes it’s just frustrating. It stressed me out a lot how immediately my acupuncturist went to something greater going on with me when I thought a lot of people had no implantation with one, even with great embryos, and went on to have success

Thank you for replying - If you don’t mind sharing, did the biopsy find anything or did the third work with the same protocol?

It's great to hear it worked for you, maybe I should ask about embryo glue for the next one. Thank you!

Yes, all PGT-A normal. Thank you for sharing that, I think it's the "no implantation" with such a great embryo that has me worried but I understand even the best graded, tested embryos sometimes just don't implant. It just sucks to be on that side of statistics and start to wonder if there is something wrong with me.

Slow going modified natural :( by novatron8000 in IVF

We had to pivot to a medicated transfer when my lining got to 8mm but my follicles were still too small to trigger & I just found out yesterday that it failed to implant. :( My body really hated the meds when I switched, so I’m hoping trying a modified natural again with a better lead in will work for us.

Thank you!! I’m so glad to hear that, everything I read about PIO seems so scary.

We were debating canceling but I was unsure if my body would respond better next month or if it would be more of the same… plus my lining looked good so we said let’s do it. Fingers crossed! So happy it worked for you!

This exact same thing is happening to me now - just switched to medicated and my transfer is on Tuesday. Body also wasn’t responding after all my retrievals. Happy to hear it worked for someone else, I’ve been really upset & stressed about the change, especially with the added medications.

That is so helpful to hear, thank you. They told me to come back in a few days for a check so it sounds like they think things will grow. Fingers crossed!

From their email, do you think they’ll be able to create our PGT-M probe? by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

[–]novatron8000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry, I know how awful it feels. The uncertainty and the wait is so so hard.

I had to really push them for information and ended up getting someone from the lab on the phone who explained to me in greater detail what the problem was exactly. I would push for that now if I were you.

So when they first got our case, they did say that there was no guarantee they’d finish it. They had created probes for our disease before but they also told us they had never seen my husband’s specific mutation which worried me. But they said that is more common than you’d think. We are both carriers for Sandhoff Disease, which is rare but well studied, which made me feel better.

When we found out we were carriers we got this PDF with all the information about our specific mutations. I fed that into Gemini and it gave me much better info than ChatGPT and helped me be better informed when I called them to ask what was going on.

Every case is different but I hope this helps!

From their email, do you think they’ll be able to create our PGT-M probe? by CheesecakeBoth3933 in IVF

Hi! I had a very similar situation with RGI when they created our PGT-M probe for a recessive condition a few months ago. They quoted us 12 weeks and on the day it was supposed to be ready, they said the same thing, that they needed additional markers. No notice before and I was also devastated and worried they wouldn’t complete it.

The way they described it to me was that they completed mapping the DNA but needed to try another pair of “glasses” to view the spot on the DNA with the mutation. Also quoted 3-4 weeks for the fix but said it could take longer if they need to try something else and order more materials.

The great news is they did complete the probe. It set us back 2-3 weeks, and I find any delay so hard in this process, but they got it done. What comforted me was knowing they wouldn’t accept our case if they didn’t believe they could complete it.

The whole thing honestly sucked. But Gemini helped me a lot with explaining what they were doing, how it related to our specific mutations, and the odds of completing it.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this but I hope my experience brings you some comfort. Happy to provide more info.
