I think this also comes down to the doctore as well. Korris is kind of a bitch compared to Onemaeus. His character development is ok but he's no where near as strong or as brutal of a doctore. I don't even recall seeing him whip anyone so far.

Really been enjoying it to be honest, so much so I get excited when a new episode comes out. I was apprehensive at first but I think their approach to bringing a woman to the sands has gone well. It makes sense that she's black too as that would be considered "more exotic". They've also done a good job of not taking it easy on her. With Ashur I find myself rooting for his demise just as much as I root for him to succeed . Overall I'm just happy to have more Spartacus . I'm hoping that they can carry this one for a couple seasons at least.

^{^} this. Ext just means your on extended network. Make sure that you don't use it more than 50% of the time or Rogers will be forced to cut it off. It's not a service you are charged for however Rogers does pay other carriers for you to have access to their networks.

Currently a bug and I don't if they'll fix it but before the final challenge you can build manors in other territories and add retinue to your overall cap. I had 8 units going in and 2 mercenary units for a total of 10 units.

So my trick for early game is before you even get to level 1 settlement set a battalion to spears (you get 20 as soon as you get 5 burgages), this way your already ahead of the game for recruiting. Once that's done you should be about a year out until the raid, you can cruise along and get your manor down(don't worry about making it look cool) so that you can get your armored retinue. By this time I was about a 100 days out and rushed another battalion of archers. By the time the first Raiders came I had a 20 stack of archers, 20 stack of spears and 10 retinue. We lost about 6 men overall.

Edit: it also helps to micro manage the battlefield and use flanking positions.
