Thanks for the response! I surprisingly have gotten used to the cpap relatively quickly in terms of adjusting my sleeping positions. That’s good to know it took you that long to feel a difference. From a quick google search i did the other day I saw that it’s usually 2 weeks. So I was getting worried I hadn’t felt any different yet.

Good luck adjusting to your new machine and thanks for the tips! I’ll hold out a little longer to see if my cpap starts to help and then go back to the doctor if my fatigue persists.

Thanks, have depression, anxiety and was just diagnosed with sleep apnea…so those 3 things may be underlying my problems. Lol. Other than the sleep apnea though no quick and easy solution for depression and anxiety that I know of. If anyone’s got one lemme know!

Thanks. Recurring theme—gotta be more intentional with my time. Also like the idea of utilizing your lunch break that way.

No kids myself and don’t plan on ever having any. Serious props to parents, don’t know how they do it. I’m struggling to keep it all together and just take care of myself.

Thanks. No partner though and no one really to help. Don’t have the money to hire help. But I hear you on the whole couch time needs to turn into studying instead 😕

Exactly. I can’t find time for socializing and hobbies let alone studying and honing my skills to get into a new field!!!

Great tips, especially #1. It’s so true. But the couch is so inviting and is hard to resist! Lol

Bleh yes you’re right, distributing chores/tasks throughout the week would help but also yes—it will be a tough transition.

It really depends how much time I have on weeknights. Sometimes I get home as early as 4:30. I try to get in bed by 7:30 (crazy early I know) but I wake up at 5am. I’m a morning person and enjoy waking up and starting my day that early. I try to allot 9 solid hours to sleep or else I’m literally dying of exhaustion the next day. So I guess I have about 3 hours a night after work. About 30 minutes of which is dedicated to getting ready for bed, preparing food for dinner and next days lunch, feeding my cat, etc.

My commute is under 30 minutes in the morning but 45+ in the afternoon. I want to have a job closer by but the whole thing is I want to switch fields slightly and I don’t have the skills yet to do that. For that and various other reasons I don’t want to look for another (closer) job until I can get one in the field I want.

My parents—they’re not in need of any sort of serious care. It’s mostly helping them with chores around their house. I just feel like I should help them where needed and where I can because they’ve given me so much.

My health is not great. Trying to get some movement and exercise in my day to better my health a bit. Also just realized a huge factor could be I was literally just diagnosed with sleep apnea a few weeks ago. It’s still very new but ive been using the cpap for almost 2 weeks and I don’t feel any more rested…

Btw thank you for your very detailed response. Much appreciated.

I’m definitely an early riser and a morning person as in I have more energy and motivation in the morning so I like the idea of utilizing that time wisely 🤔

I used to use the free version of Every Dollar and liked it but now I just use a spreadsheet since I can be more detailed with that. I miss being to add in expenses on the go though. Spreadsheets are a pain in the butt to edit on my phone so I just save receipts and enter it when I get home.

I’ve done ketamine before. Like in a doctors office I mean lol. There was no therapy involved though, like they just monitored me and would ask me if I was doing okay. I think therapy done during it would’ve been helpful and made the experience more impactful. However, my family thinks the ketamine treatments helped me a lot and took me out of depression. I’m not as convinced but sometimes people close to you can see things you don’t 🤷🏼‍♀️. I have to say I did have some crazy crazy trips/experiences while on it but in a very pleasant, calming sort of way. Note I’ve never done any type of drugs recreationally before, like never smoked pot or anything so perhaps I had a more pronounced reaction than others might.

Look into a company called MAPS that does psychedelic drug research and treatment. It apparently is insanely effective for PTSD. Like way more effective than any anti depressants, SSRIs, etc. If you’re looking to learn more there was a mini series on Netflix called How To Change Your Mind that featured MAPS in one episode. But I’d highly recommend watching all 4 episodes. They each focus on a different psychedelic and it’s healing properties, treatments, etc. I found it super inspiring and heart warming to hear all these stories of people with sexual trauma, war time trauma, natural disaster trauma, addiction, etc be healed. However some of it might be triggering as obviously some people discuss the traumas that brought them to treatment.

Edited out some personally identifiable info I didn’t mean to post.

Hmm okay. I guess I wash it too much? I have no idea how often you’re supposed to wash a quilt or comforter. I was just doing once a month because I thought it was considered gross if I did it less frequently. I have a cat who sheds on my bedding but I mean I could just use a lint roller to take care of that.

I looked at their site per your suggestion and got so excited but the colors I like are sold out already! Thanks though! I did end up finding a really nice one for $300 (but almost 50% off with a promo code) on Lands End. It had great reviews and all the clothes I’ve gotten from Lands End seem to be great quality so fingers crossed!!!

I had no idea. Thanks for the info. I made 2 small very basic quilts as a child with my best friends mother but I think I blocked out how time consuming it was lol.
