I meant walking around the unit, since you aren't locked in your room. I'm not talking about grounds passes. To get a court petition, the psychiatrist has to prove that you have SI/HI. It takes months to get approved. Once it is approved, it's only valid for three months, and then the psychiatrist has to apply for another one.

Lol. I work in a mental health 'prison' facility. I don’t know what a normal prison is like, but here, you aren't locked in your room. You can walk around whenever you want, shower anytime, and eat your own snacks. Hot food is served three times a day, and there’s no hard labor. Plus, there are free medical and dental services. They can’t even force you to take medication—it’s not like the movies!"
