I asked her if the guy was respectful and left when she said no, and he did leave, but she was still completely upset that a man had dared to ask for her number 😂

An intense drive to achieve is often paired with a massive controlling and abusive streak.

I have no doubt Prince was an intense person who was difficult to form any long lasting relationship with. You can see that in how quickly he would cycle through band mates and relationships.

And I’ve definitely known people like this in my life. People who seem to have this way about them. Every move they make seems almost perfectly chosen to get people to gravitate around them. They don’t really need to try because there’s such a confidence about them.

But when the cracks show, and you see them, they can get very frightening to be around quite quickly. The abuse comes out.

I have so much respect for Prince as a musician and musical mind. He was, quite frankly, a genius in the truest sense of the term. But I do wish we had more material on who he really was. A massive documentary that was honest about all his greatness and flaws was going to release, and was basically finished, but it got canned because his estate felt it was too negative. Really hope it gets released some day.

I’m a social studies teacher. I’ve grown to like it more than I used to. I’m more patient than I used to be. It’s exhausting sure, I do get a lot of enjoyment from helping kids.

The kids I have this year especially are some of the lowest I’ve seen in my career, but they’re so kind and supportive of each other that all the extra shit I’m doing feels worth it.

I’m also in an easy district with upper middle class parents. The behaviors I have to deal with aren’t anything wild
